Ortiz, Cano Among Clients Of Presinal

Newsday - A number of Dominican baseball players have reportedly worked out with Angel "Nao" Presinal, who has been banned from major-league clubhouses for his links to steroids.

Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano worked out with Presinal in the 2007-08 offseason after an oblique muscle strain. Said Cano: "I heard about him, and how good he is. Every Dominican knows him."

Presinal's roster of current and former famous clients include former Mets Pedro Martinez and Moises Alou and former Yankee Ruben Sierra, as well as David Ortiz, Vladimir Guerrero, Bartolo Colon, Miguel Tejada, Adrian Beltre and Jose Guillen, according to reports.

He obviously didn't work with Robby last year.

Yankees Go On Team-Building Trip

MLB.com - Yankees manager Joe Girardi took his team on a trip off the field on Monday in an effort to help build bonds and diffuse distractions.

Girardi organized a field trip to a local billiards hall for the Bombers.

"I've never been on a team that's done something like this before, but I often wondered why," Girardi said. "There's a lot of other sports that do these types of things. We can get away from the park and enjoy each other off the field and get to know each other."

Veterans like Derek Jeter and Jorge Posada signed off on the idea last week.

"It's all about really getting together," Posada said. "If I was a young man coming on this trip, it's something that you don't see often. You can hang out with the veterans and be away from the field.

"Hopefully, we start some relationships here and get going. We've got a lot of young guys, and we need to be on the same page. I think this is going to help us."

A-Rod Gets Booed, Launches Home Run

ESPN - Alex Rodriguez was booed and taunted by fans in the Yankees' spring training opener on Wednesday, but got the last laugh with a home run in a 6-1 victory.

"This is what I do. I know how to play baseball," Rodriguez said. "I just hope that the start of something really special for this year. I feel really good about our team."

There were cheers, boos and taunts audible among the over 5,000 fans at Dunedin Stadium.

"When you're playing, it's hard to focus on standing ovations or boos. You're just trying to go out there and do your job," Rodriguez said. "Again, I didn't see anything that was bad at all."

His home run broke a tie in the fourth inning.

Yankees order A-Roid's steroid supplier to "stay away"!

The Yankees, embarrased and angered by Rodriguez continued association with his steroid dealing cousin, are taking a hard stand after the admitted steroid abuser was seen leaving the Yankees complex in Florida with the known supplier of performance enhancing drugs.
Yankees VP has a son with a steroid charge...

Felix Lopez Jr., son of Yankee VP Felix Lopez, AND the son in law of owner George Steinbrenner, was busted in 2002 for possesion of anabolic steroids. Yankees brass is denying that the younger Lopez had been hired to be a "strength trainer" for the Yankees minor league complex. However, Lopez has been seen working out at the Yankees minor league facility wearing team gear.
A-Roid/MLB Meeting may be on hold...

A-Roid hoping to delay the inevitable:

MLB investigators are scheduled to interview the admitted steroid abuser about his illegal activities, and they will be watching closely to see if his questionable story holds water. MLB commisioner Bud Selig has stated that if evidence surfaces that A-Roid has lied about his steroid abuse, then MLB reserves the right to discipline the man who has become the "face" of steroid abuse. The Yankees, who are the unquestioned "steroid team", with Clemens, Pettitt, Rodriguez, Giambi, and many others under suspision, are reeling from recent reports that their front office personnel have been involved in steroid possesion.
^^^Ha ha...whatever team you root for blows. Yanks will win the world series with ease.
Yankees have more players implicated with steroids than any other major league team:

Winning records, both in the past and in the near-term future, are tainted by the rampant steroid abuse prolifigated within the Yankee organization.
