No real big player except Jennings is a UFA or unsigned for 2026, though McKivitz & Burford might get nice sized deals as FAs.

I think there is a chance we keep Mckivitz on a team friendly deal but it's likely Burford and Mckivitz is gone. The O line market is wild af and would be really difficult to pay them anywhere close to what they can get.

how many of those guys listed above are on the 53 roster?

Do you mean how many are likely to make the 53?

yeah, how many of those losses are actually going to directly impact the 53 man roster? Or at least starters.
seems to me like it's 3 starters (JJ, Mckivitz, and possibly Burford). I'm hoping a younger guy can beat out Burford but he has shown to be better at LG.

I still think they should just do away with it. Kind of strange that the game that depends the most on depth and teamwork has a salary structure that works against both of those things. The NFL brings in the most revenue so let the owners spend whatever they want. Let's get rid of the farce known as the salary cap and allow teams to build some depth so every season doesn't depend on who has the fewest injuries. $50 million dollar QBs need good protection around them. Not bargain basement players.

It is. That's why we're blessed to have AB who's a damn wizard with this stuff!

He should start a YouTube channel about this stuff that breaks down all the 49ers moves and just salary cap stuff in general for the nfl. It would help a lot of people, including players too cause they often admit they don't know anything about it. I guess they don't have to but I feel like it would help deals get done with less headaches if both sides know why the other is doing it.

I'd add in Gross-Matos as a starter level free agent to be.

I've thought about that, but it may not be in the schedule as I'm getting ready to potentially apply for college, I'm 40 going back, have 2 colleges, a 4yr(ualbany) & 2yr(Hudson valley) located where I live in NY.
Good for you AB! I went back at 42 and finished my bachelor's and graduated with my Master's last year at 46. Never too late!

Thanks guys, in the process of getting my transcripts sent over to the college, hope to begin this fall.
FYI, Warner's extension saved the team $13.116M in 2025, & over $16M in 2026, new cap room for 2025 is $50,472,279, includes Alfred Collins & C.J. West's projected deals.

This is great. Would love to sign a few FA's as there are definitely some still available that can help us this year.

Do you happen to have list of guy available or players that you are interested in? I think they could definitely use a vet safety and CB

Would feel a lot better about this year with a CB, safety, LB, edge and WR. Still great players available that could help us on one year deals.

I feel like they will roll most of it over or use it for extensions if they give any (Jauan mostly, maybe McKivitz ?)
