All these moves. At first I figured they were just getting ahead of the salary cap squeeze. Now I have no idea. That's a lot of money to free up just to rollover.

This kind of talk gets me excited.

I wish they would come out and say hey we are pursuing a trade I just can't tell you who right now.

Well they'd have to say who they're pursuing a trade for. Personally, I think they wan the option to trade. Just like when they traded all those picks to move up to #4. They didn't know who they wanted, just wanted to be able to draft someone in top 3.

How about this, go sign Byron Jones, he's a free agent right now. What about Robert Quinn??

Isn't Quinn in some legal trouble? I thought I remember him being in some issue.

Oh snap I think you're right!!! Oh well then let's go Jason Pierre-Paul, Carlos Dunlap or Chase Winovich. For CB, Bradley Roby, William Jackson, Kyle Fuller, Casey Hayward (always productive) and like I said Byron Jones.

I love Casey Hayward
JPP and Dunlap are still good too.

All will come pretty cheap too
Just an FYI, added 2027 & 2028 cap page links to the first page, all pages on my site are updated.

Cap room as of today, $42,427,855, most in the NFL, expect them to carryover at least $35M into 2024.

I think Hayward might still be injured. I'm gonna predict that after today if there's any weaknesses on defense I think they definitely make a move.

I saw somewhere that we are supposed be 9 mill over in '24, so this 35 carryover helps with that? Anyone due for a bump beside Aiyuk? Who's deals are up end of this season?

Edit: nevermind, was typing before the above link posted. Thanx for all you do sir.

Nice work, as usual. Doesn't seem impossible to get under and stay together. Guess we'll see....but those are tomorrow's problems!

Truth. This FO (esp. the cap guys) work years in advance here for all scenarios. Bosa's contact didn't exactly sneak up on them. They knew the low-high parameters and scenarios for both.
Aiyuk won't cost us much of anything in 2024 as when a player gets an extension their 1st year is always cheap. Will even be cheaper than what his cap is currently at in 2024. Bosa for example had a cap of $17 Million prior to his extension and now his cap is around $11 Million in 2023.

WOOOOOO, rookie deal, still 2 more years till he can get a new deal, same as Purdy, great to have these guys on cheap deals, allows us to keep our core players, big name guys.
