Why does it have to be a "turd" ? Jimmy is/was a class act for the org. Was/is he limited and frustrating a lot of times ? Yes. Should the Niners move on ? Yes. But I don't see what he has done to deserve to be called a turd.

I've been saying this over and over again. And posters have the audacity to claim that noone hates Jimmy. Its just so gross and disrespectful, something I expect to see from Philly and raider fans not niner fans.

I'll never get over people that couldn't even touch a jockstrap calling professional athletes "turds" or "trash" .

low resolution brains.

Exactly, this is ridiculous to hear fans, our own fans, saying Jimmy is garbage throw him to the curb. Same happened with Alex, we are blessed to have solid QB play, Jimmy was easily worth the 2nd we gave to get him and he's worth that all day long. There are teams that would give up their QB for Jimmy in a heart beat but the contract wont allow. If we restructure a few players and choose to keep Jimmy going into camp I wont be mad AT ALL! A team will trade for Jimmy and I bet we get at least a 3rd for him and a 2nd the following year, just depends when the trade comes. Don't think for a second that other players are watching how we treat this situation and being an organization that does a class act a solid in where he goes will net us a FA down the road because they will trust the FO to do the same for them if they play hard and handle themselves like a class act, which Jimmy did hands down.

Agreed...Jimmy made this team interesting again. Yes the throw to Sanders in the SB causes serious pain. 🙄

I'm not saying he is good or anything. I'm probably even fine with someone saying he sucks as a player. But to call him a turd is going overboard imo. Imo it's reserved for very few players who basically said eff the Niners/organization/fanbase when things didn't warrant it.

I'm a big critic of Jimmy. He isn't a turd and even if I'll forever hate his play in the playoffs, especially the SB, that doesn't make me hate the person or call him a turd. I guess it's a matter of semantics here.
We have 3 different Jimmy threads going on a the same time. Interesting

Now that they got under the cap they don't need to release Jimmy. They can continue to try and find a trade. It hurts them as far a s signing free agents as long as he's on the roster but they should eventually be able to get a 3rd or 2nd round pick for him. Who knows. Maybe even more.

They are around 4 M under now. Can't do much anything with out trading Jimmy.
The salary cap reminds me of the income tax code. Lots of rules but plenty of loopholes for those that know how to use them.
Need to extend Ward and Eman, And cut or extend Ebukam to free up more cap space so they could do something in free agency. Can't do nothing with only $4 Million.

Yup. I hate when we use void years for that reason. No matter what you are creating dead cap when that's used.
