Depends, a Tyrod Taylor might cost up-to $10M, meaning say $5M counts, but $5M is NLTBE incentives, as for Jimmy, we save $24.725M-$24.845M, but due to being over the cap when we have 51 players signed, it'll give us more likely between $17M if all 20 other players(only 31 signed), sign for rookie minimum($705K), but that's unlikely due to having 5 ERFAs who will be tendered(Hasty, Jennings, McKivitz, Givens, & DFF), all but Jennings will get the $895K tender, Jennings gets the $825K tender.

Plus we have RFAs(Cracraft, Brunskill, Street, & Al-Shaair), Cracraft won't be tendered, more likely, if he isn't cut to bring Sanu off of IR or someone else in for the playoffs, he'll easily sign a 1yr $965K non GTD deal for camp, as for Brunskill & Street, Brunskill would get the $2.433M Right of First Refusal tender, which would give us no compensation if lost, Street would get the $2.54M Original Round Tender, so if lost we get a 4th, Al-Shaair would likely get the 2nd rd tender($3.986M), but I see them extending him to a multi-year deal, 3-4 yrs, $3.5M-$5M a yr, with a low 2022 cap number, also I can see them signing Street & Brunskill to 1yr deals worth in the $1.265M neighborhood, less than their tenders would be, like we did with Jeff Wilson Jr., Ross Dwelley, & Marcell Harris, while Al-Shaair would be like Moseley, multi-year deal, still lower than the original round tender, but again, $3.5M-$5M a yr IMO.

I have Al-Shaair at right now a 3yr deal worth $3.5M a yr, with a $1,298,333 cap number for 2021, I have his 2022 base of $965K GTD, $1M signing bonus, plus his 2023 base GTD for injury($2.5M), fully on April 1, 2023.

Plus we'll sign our practice squaders, I have them with all 19, likely won't happen, most would be place holders till we sign UDFAs, but they would be the following with cap numbers.

QB Nate Sudfeld – $895,000
QB Tyler Bray – $895,000
RB Brian Hill – $895,000
FB Josh Hokit – $705,000
WR Connor Wedington – $705,000
WR Austin Mack – $825,000
TE Jordan Matthews – $895,000
C Jon Halapio – $965,000
RT Wyatt Miller – $705,000
RT Alfredo Gutierrez – $705,000
DE Alex Barrett – $825,000
NT Darrion Daniels – $825,000
NT Chris Slayton – $705,000
WLB Curtis Robinson – $705,000
SLB Mark Nzeocha – $895,000
CB Luq Barcoo – $825,000
CB Lavert Hill – $705,000
CB Darqueze Dennard – $895,000
FS Doug Middleton – $895,000

Again, yes that's a lot of our own FAs, but 19 are PS players, guys like Hokit, Daniels, Robinson, Nzeocha, & maybe Sudfeld, Bray, & Dennard would make it to camp.

So, if we factor in say these deals below, they add up to $15.465M for the PS players, $4.405M for the ERFAs, & $4,793,333 for the RFAs, for a total of $24,633,333, but that would give the team 60 players signed.

So, those 8 lower players would count $5.76M(7 at $705K, 1 at $825K), leaving us before carryover & credits, $16,031,249 over the cap, with the carryover & credits, we're $12,641,929 over the cap, so when we offload Jimmy, hopefully for 1 or more picks, we'd save $24.725M, which would leave us with $12,083,071 under the 2022 salary cap, but that's with 59 players signed/tendered, including our 5 ERFAs(Hasty, Jennings, McKivitz, Givens, & DFF), and our 4 RFAs(Cracraft, Brunskill, Street, & Al-Shaair), with IMO Hasty, Jennings, McKivitz, Givens, Brunskill, Street, & Al-Shaair locks to make the 2022 roster right now, while McKivitz, Givens, & Hasty would be RFAs in 2023, Jennings a ERFA again, Al-Shaair signed through 2024, & Cracraft, Brunskill, & Street UFAs in 2023.

Then we can look into re-signing the likes of Laken Tomlinson(his deal voids in late February), Arden Key, K'Waun Williams, & D.J. Jones to multi-year deals, while keeping guys like Trent Sherfield, Jaquiski Tartt, Tom Compton, Tarvarius Moore, Jordan Willis, & Jake Brendel to 1-year vet minimum deals, I'd give Tartt the fourth year qualifying contract, which would see him get a $152,500 signing bonus, he'd also get a $2.37M base salary($1.12M counts, he gets $1.25M more than that minimum), he'd get that $2.37M base GTD, but again only $1.12M counts, so a $1,272,500 cap number, hoping he'd go for it.

I'd give Sherfield, & Moore, and possibly Compton $152,500 in bonus money.

And, yes we can extend Bosa & Deebo, with Bosa, he has a $4,305,225 training roster bonus, so we can do similar to what we did with Fred Warner, but turn that roster bonus into a signing bonus, add $1,694,775 of cap room to create a $30M signing bonus, $6M in prorated bonuses, but his cap number only goes up by just $1,694,775.

As for Deebo, who has a projected $4,890,519 cap number, same thing as Warner, lower his new base salary($3.936M) to league minimum of $965K, give him a $15M signing bonus, only puts that $4,890,519 cap number to $4,919,519, only a $29K increase.

I can see the 49ers extend Dre Greenlaw to a similar deal to Al-Shaair, $3.5M-$5M a yr, that way we can keep the 3 LBs(Warner, Dre, & Al-Shaair) all together at an affordable rate, yes Warner is expensive, but worth it, & if we can get Dre & Azeez for a combined $10M a yr, that's huge IMO.

Some ways to make more cap room would be the following.

Restructure George Kittle($8.332M saved), Arik Armstead($10.424M saved), Redo/Extend Jimmie Ward($6.224M saved), Samson Ebukam($3.982M saved), & Emmanuel Moseley($2.692M saved).

Also by doing a pseudo extension, where we add 4 void years to Mike McGlinchey's deal, we'd save $7.876M, but it leaves a $5.907M dead money hit in 2023.

As for Dee, if we can decline his $4.6M injury GTD roster bonus, we gain $2,090,001, but it'd be between $1,385,001-$1,265,001 after top 51, if not, we can June 1 him, we'd gain $2.4M, but it'd really be $1.505M after top 51 with a guy making $895K replacing him.

So there's way to make cap room for free agent signings, and in season cap room.

You see any guys that can boost our secondary and oline that will be fa this season that we can manage to grab with the leftover money on here ?

I know we won't and can't get brown to play rt instead of left he would cost way to much I think 20 m a season but how much is a elite rt and how much are they worth yearly

Really depends on what other signings they make, any FA signing will have a low 2022 & 2023 cap numbers, meaning a backloaded contract, since the cap won't likely be more than the $230M-$238M range in 2023, meaning low 2022 & 2023 cap numbers.
All I'm thinking while reading AB's great work is wtf are the Saints going to do?!

We can start shopping him around, any deal agreed upon before March 16th becomes official on the 16th of March.

He's going to have surgery on that thumb - can you trade an injured player or do we have to wait for him to be fully healthy?
