At the risk of sending you into an OCD driven tailspin, one small thing is the menu item "Salary Cap Pages". It is obviously by year once you click on it but not "salary cap pages" does not immediately let some one know exactly what it is. Maybe "Future Salary Cap"? "Yearly Salary Cap"? "Salary Cap by Year" Not sure how those sound or if the longer one will mess up alignment.

If you had not added in the stand-alone "2021 Salary Cap" menu item it would be less of a problem so I feel some responsibility in the matter!

I do like not having "49ers" in front of each item as it makes it more readable.

No problem, I liked the idea, changed it to Salary Cap Page By Year, let me know https://49erscap.com/

No ambiguity anymore on the headline items. It would still be nice to get a take from some fresh eyes but I like the changes!

Bump. AB?

Sorry bud, didn't even see your post my bad. Uh there is no limit, the Browns have carried over well into the $30M range, same with Jags, Colts, and other, sometimes teams will carryover a bit under their remaining cap room in case a player with an incentive for the playoffs hits it, that would only apply to the playoff teams, so 14 of them, the other 18 would carryover the entire cap space left at end of the season.

Right on thanks!

Ok, need your guys advice on what you'd like to see me write about, I'm currently in a writers block, nothing coming to mind. Frustrated.
Ok, still looking for any ideas or suggestions for content for the site, also if anyone's interested in writing for the site let me know, can be weekly previews and reviews, breaking down the game, whatever you'd want to write about, just let me know.
AB what's up with that Warner extension article today? We only have $4.5 mil in cap room right now? How are they going to sign Lance and extend Warner?

1. That's with the final roster set, right now, technically they have $17.5M, but when Lance, Sermon & Thomas sign, it goes down to $12M, then when the roster is set, $4.5M-$5M, redoing AA will save $4.528M, 2. Whoever "wrote" the Warner article on the front page clearly plagiarized David Lombardi's article from TheAthletic.com, I commented on it originally, whoever saw it decided to delete my comment or re-upload the "article", I love the WZ and all, but that's shady stuff to blatantly copy & paste off of a site you have to pay to see their content, I sub to it because I like Barrows & Lombardi, plus for my other teams(NY Rangers, Rocket, Yankees, Notre Dame, etc...)

Yeah I noticed that as well…need to cite that s**t when using someone else's work.

Yep, it was clearly basically copy, paste, change some stuff, act like it's his own article, couldn't change the SB from what David suggested as $30M, or $7M-$8M cap number, I've said all offseason a $15M bonus is more likely to keep the cap hit low, plus still give the 49ers like $5M after redoing AA for in season moves. Also suggested a protected option bonus like AA, and Kittle had this year, they were exercised, so the bonus prorated, instead of being added to their base salary.

Thanks again AB. I agree that people's work should be cited and credit should be given when it's due. I know how hard you work to get it right.

It seems like they are pretty tight up against the cap for this season and next year as well. After signing the remaining rookies, it looks like the team is pretty much set. Once they figure out the Warner situation I just don't see them having enough cap to acquire anyone else. They obviously need to save a little for in season stuff in case of injuries. So no Sherman or ER before camp?

Also, what's your take on Jimmy possibly taking a pay cut if he gets beat out in camp? Do they need to declare how much cap they want to rollover or does the remaining just automatically rollover to next season? If they have to declare is there a date they must do it by?

Yeah I think any idea of a CB or EDGE over the minimum isn't happening, Warner takes precedent, they'll likely redo AA save $4.528m, will help with Warner & in season money for the time being.

I don't know if they'd ask Jimmy to take a pay cut, it'd be nice, but idk, and they can carryover as much left as they want, they need to notify the league I think the Saturday of week 18.
