Nope $12m in the black now

https://overthecap.com/salary-cap-space/

They're still needing to fill the following positions:
Starting
LT
LG
C
RG
RT
WR
FS
CB
CB
RDE

also will lose a WR who played 66% of their snaps.
They literally have no starting OL with 12 mil in space. That's just over what's needed to sign their draft class.

Right BUT will SF restructure/extend other guys? KC just freed up $17M restructuring Mahomes they can do the same thing if they want...that's kinda my point teams can all kick the can down the road to sign guys now....as long as they have that FQB. Overall it doesn't really hurt the team as bad as people think....especially now with the Tv deals getting down and in a couple yrs the cap will be over $250M
I just said the 49ers could easily create more cap space if they need to. They have double what KC does right and you're worried about losing Trent to them? Why extend Jimmy right now? It's absolutely unnecessary. Jimmy is a good option for 2021 and the team can be very good with him but they not gonna commit to him.

No team has the kind of success with late round picks and undrafted FAs KC would need to field a competitive roster. Even with them creating 12 mil in cap space they have more holes to fill than just tackle. Trent would eat up most or all of that 12 mil. Still doesn't fix the rest of their roster. They've gotten by with a serviceable LT since Mahomes came into the league, they don't need an all-pro LT to have success.

I don't even think the Colts are players for Trent in FA, even with 40+ mil to spend. WR and TE are huge needs and they have to pay their owe big time players who are coming up on extensions. There's no way the could pay an 3 OL top dollar.

Niners restructured Richburg.

31 Mil in cap space now with the Richburg restructuring. You still worried about losing Trent?

That's good news creating more cap space lynch and the front office are just getting started plus they will probably extend laken Tomlinson to create 5 million of space and it could happen with Dee Ford contract as well.

Does the 2-year for Moseley mean we're out of the running for K'Waun?

Sorry remembered there are two "J's" on this forum....

AB (Jason) would you know the answer or anyone else? I don't know if we projected a 2-year for Moseley. Does that put us out of the running for K'Waun?

Sorry wasn't up yesterday, sick, anyway, the Moseley deal doesn't rule out either Verrett or K'Waun, I think the 49ers did the same thing with Moseley that the Bucs did with Lavonte David, they likely gave him a 5yr deal that voids after 2022, same as David, teams are going to be doing these types of things the next 2 offseasons IMO, we won't see a jump in the cap until likely 2023 or 2024 minimum, 2022 was supposed to be around $227.5M, that was pre COVID, when the 2021 cap was supposed to jump to $210-$215M ish, now the 2022 cap, according to OTC, is projected at just $203M, then 2023 is $225M, then in 2024 is when we could see the $256M cap that people have been talking about 3-4 yrs down the road.

My guess is Richburg stays on the 49ers roster till June 2nd, retires then, the 49ers likely will agree to not go after his signing bonus prorations.

I hope you feel better brother! We need you up and running for free agency agency
I just went over my cap book, the only way the 49ers could gain $6.875M in cap room is for Richburg to go from $7.85M to $1.075M, then also eliminate his $100K workout bonus, so not really a restructure, it's more of a pay cut, then he retires June 2nd. 49ers gain additional $1.075M since he will forfeit it when retiring, dead money hits of $3,512,791 in 2021, and $3,453,651 in 2022.

I'd assume the Niners are sitting around ~$28m in space given the Moseley signing.

Right about there. Possibly more because I have a feeling the contract isn't worth 5 million a year it is "up to"5 million a year with incentives.
