The pass rush in 2019 made a lot of those guys look better. It really sucks that we found a really good safety in Huf but he just couldn't stay healthy enough here to invest big $ on him.

Right now it just feels like unless Sigle can find a way to be consistent we don't have a real FS out there.

Tho I felt like how the team approached this offseason/draft they may be looking to next year even tho they added some older guys back to the roster. Hope I'm wrong and this secondary steps it up come real games.

I don't recall training camp reports from those days but I feel like Eman came out of nowhere in 2019 and we didn't know what we had in Huf until 2022 and Gipson came out of nowhere(didn't even make the original 53)

I listed the 2023 secondary a few posts later; he asked me to name one, that was too easy. I agree it's a toss up between 2019 and 2023 for me too, but I just went with 2019 cause as a whole the unit was ranked a lot higher.

Eman certainly did not come out of nowhere; he came in as an UDFA and was making plays/a name for himself from the beginning. A few of us knew it was only a matter of time before he takes the starting job. Huff; I was the biggest homer on this board, I knew what we had in him and was arguing about it the from day he was drafted.

The pass rush making the 2019 secondary look better is a true statement; but also a disingenuous one. The secondary most certainly helped them out all the same. Coverage sacks don't show up in the stat sheets

sherm was washed for us he got accolades on reputation more or less, moseley probably most famous for getting out of sorts on the 3rd and 15 back breaker, we all know about tartt costing us a ring potentially, those aren't good secondaries imo, the D front made the 2019 D good, and 2022 was nick / fred the front seven and huf was pretty legit, but the secondary always had warts, secondary led this D last season with no bosa and no fred we haven't had a corner as good as lenoir sauce cost 2 ones lenoir is better imo

sherm was obviously better with seattle, i think that's widely agreed upon
moseley effed up on the big down, that's pretty much factual
