Not unhappy with the player, just believe there were better overall players at higher positions of need on the board.
That's the frustrating part

If this pick makes McVay frown a little more than it was worth it.

Not surprised the seeming general opinion is that we reached… it's what we do.
Hope the player turns out good. Even with a deeper WR group than we had entering last season, I wouldn't expect our top guys to stay healthy.

The CB he's toasting ran 4.38, and Stribling DUSTS him. pic.twitter.com/iljzuKLw8F
he has a few more similar type plays on that youtube highlight reel...
I bet they are already thinking Deebo 2.0 with how he runs those trap/screens. That combo of acceleration and seeking contact looks like a 49er type thing.

All that matters is how well he plays when he's on the field, given run blocking is a strength of his I think he'll see action.
But WR is a need for us, last year that group (well Aiyuk) is a big part of why we flamed out, Seattle was not worried at all about and receiver we had on the field, they were too slow and could not get open.
What happens if we have a couple of injuries?
I think he's going to be used similarly to Deebo where we'we'll get him open in space for YAC.
Cheering for him
Brock needs time to throw the f**king ball

The good news is that he's one of the more game ready WRs. My guess is that Evans and Pearsall will both miss games this season, thats when Stribling will really get a shot to make his mark.

6-2 210 runs a 4.38 with 10" hands who blocks his ass off.

Good luck with that in terms of the GM position.

Now I agree it's a reach based off mock drafts and stuff….what exactly is it about him as a player that you dislike though?

A pick that high should be starting day 1

Positive post only
The position fit is perfect for what our WR group is lacking
He can learn from and replace Mike Evans
Having a true X lets Pearsall play his true position and not get bodied off his route.
Not all WR positions are the same. Stribling is one of the few true X prospects in this draft.
He is not a bust type player
