Prototypical size at 6'2" 207 lbs. To sum him up - dynamic playmaker. Large, strong frame. Big, strong hands. Explosive, home-run speed paired with quick feet and pit bull mindset. The blend of size, speed and hands, and vertical, paired with a fearlessness running over the middle make him one of the highest ceiling prospects in this class. Can run away from anyone and his speed terrified opposing defenses. Team very often either had corners playing with a massive cushion or a safety over-the-top. When they wouldn't, he could make them pay down the field. Against press, he could put corners out-of-phase and into panic mode in a hurry. His quick climb up the stem often made underneath help impossible outside and would stress any defenses that didn't widen their alignment. His run after the catch by both speed and strong style, punished defenses who allowed isolated matchups on corners.

Was the best blocker(WR) in the class and it wasnt close. Routinely put guys on the ground. Would block corners, safeties, LB's and DE's. Versatile enough to be put anywhere on the field. Has a high-floor as his YAC and blocking immediately make him a viable receiver.

His ceiling will be determined by how quickly he develops as a roure runner. "Raw' isn't necessarily the right term, but underdeveloped. Ole Miss's heavy RPO/Read-option offenses created a very condensed route tree that featured very little timing based concepts. Being where you're supposed to be when you're supposed to be there will be a big change from his offense in Oxford. He'll need to learn a wide route tree, diversify his release package, and to sink his hips and accelerate out of breaks to realize his full potential.

Sky is the limit for this kid. He's not as polished as guys like Omar Cooper or Denzel Boston, but has a higher ceiling.

Undeveloped after a 5 year college career is a concern....so is the lack of a single 1000 yard season despite playing at 3 different universities, two of which were known pass heavy offenses. I don't see a hidden jem but a guy who maybe is already at his peak.

RE the underdeveloped concern -I said underdeveloped, not raw, for a reason. Underdeveloped means he wasn't developed, not that he can't be or he didn't take it upon himself to. The route tree of any receiver coming out of Ole Miss is going to be very abbreviated. I saw the same thing about Jordan Watkins last year when I watched him at Ole Miss. They have an extremely RPO/Read-option based offense. Their "timing" routes were digs that stopped after 3 steps in breaking because that's as far as they were supposed to go by the time the ball was thrown because it was, "play fake and throw it down the numbers if you look and the guy is there and open". Or "could be a run, but just run 4 steps and turn and present yourself to the QB cause he has a pass option." or Go-balls. Or a simple slant. Those were 75% of his routes. It was getting tedious watching their offense because it looked like 10 plays were 90% of their offense.

you gots to believe that Shanny and Lynchie did not even believe he a 1st rounder that's why they took that extra 5th (was it 5th) and sat there only to still find the guy landing on their lap..

and drafting him VERY EARLY in the 2nd round tells you it's a panic move..

Because they looked at who was behind them after 30,none was going after a WR. Second how far you drop is depended on who behind you and who is willing to trade. He is a receiver that we did not have on the roster. He is JJ but with speed and with possible bit of Debo.

if Godwin is who Shanny and Lynch see from this guy, then we should have waited in the middle of the 3rd.

In a redraft Godwin is absolutely worth a first round pick

Absolutely a 1st rounder. Shouldn't even be a debate.

We aren't taking TJ Watt over Myles Garrett assuming Cleveland is taking Pat.

What? Lol Godwin is a very good player. He's a little older now but has been an absolute problem and stud.

When he's started a full year, he's broke 1k and scored a good amount of TDs - while being adjacent to guy who put up stats too.

He sure looks like it.

To me he looks like a bigger, faster Aiuyk. Like identical. And he blocks like Jennings.

I think he's going to be an absolute monster in our scheme.

The biggest reason Seattle could congest the LOS and play a 2 deep was because we had no threats in the receiving game.

It wasn't the Oline. No Oline could block if there's no outside threat. The didn't respect Bourne, D. Robinson or Tonges in the pass game at all.

Add in the fact that we got down early and couldn't run the ball vs that congested front and Seattle could just T off on Purdy.

Stribling in motion and his threat of taking the top off will open up the middle for Kittle down the seam and Pearsall in the slot. And if they don't double Evans he will destroy 1 on 1 coverage.

I love this pick. I think he will be a future #1 and put up Aiuyk stats without the drama.
