I wonder if cowboys are tryna clear space for Crosby

They'd have to do more than just trade Osa, I think, OTC has them at negative $800K, but they have 5 other players that they can restructure to save cap room, Quininen Williams($14,587,500), Rashan Gary($8.7M), DaRon Bland($8.62M), Kenny Clark($6.56M), & Jake Ferguson($8.828M), they still need cap room for their picks, but that's $47.295M that would be enough to fit Crosby, but put's them tight against the cap when it comes too their picks, but it's doable for them, not sure LV trades him now, though they only have about $39M in cap room now that Crosby is back after they spent so much money, and forgot that a long term deal for Pickens would help Dallas so it's definitely doable.

+ their own doctor was skeptical about Crosbys knee.

I dont mind this trade however, if we had just kept Floyd and Collins we'd have the same caliber players as Huff and Osa Odighizuw. Except we wouldn't have had to spend two picks and Floyd and Collins are cheaper.

So not a bad trade but the hole was created by a dumb decision last offseason

We likely wouldn't have been able to afford to keep both of them last year, just the facts about it, also Collins is 31, Floyd is 34, and both would have been FAs this offseason, while Osa is 27, and Huff is 28, Floyd is on a $10M a yr deal, and Collins also at $10M a yr, while cheaper right now, again they'd both be FAs this offseason and I doubt they'd have retained both.

so why's dallas trading him a year after signing him to a big extension?

They got Kenny Clark in the Parsons trade, then traded for Quinnen Williams. So pushed Osa to the 3rd tackle, and they just can't tie up that much money on one position.
all i know is that every time i watched a cowboys game, this guys name was being called for wrecking s**t in the backfield

Very true, forgot about that, I think it's unlikely Crosby gets traded as LV will still want 2 1's or a 1, a 2 and something else of significant value, either someone ponies up or LV gets real about what they're willing to give Crosby up for.
BTW, this helps me get over the fact we didn't get J Franklin-Meyers

Bosa and opposite side on him will love Osa and might buy him a Rolex for Christmas... maybe a Ferrari

Ttremendous pass rusher. One of the best penetrating 3Ts in football, dude gets in the backfield and is ferocious.
I am not worried about the third as long as he is good. I will just say Lynch has spent a tremendous amount of assets on the DL and it was terrible last year. Which is why it was still one of if not our biggest need. Better have gotten it right this time.
bosa, osa, west, williams, collins

solid line, just need good depth now

bosa got injured and williams got injured. that's why it was bad. it's not a mystery
Absolutely love this trade for our defense

Yep, agreed 100%, and TBH Collins & West looked good as the season went on, even Sam O looked good, would still like an EDGE in FA, actually wish we did the deal with Chubb, $43.5M over 3yr, $14.5M APY is a good deal, but really hope we still get an EDGE in FA, other deals seem to be too much, Hendrickson getting $28.5M a yr is way way too much IMO, same with Phillips' $20M a yr when he's had injury issues and has only 28 career sacks.
Oh and I love how Cowboys fans actually thought they were gonna get Warner in a trade someone said 20th pick and Osa for Warner & 27th pick, which is horrible but not as bad as another saying Osa and a 2027 3rd for Warner, WTF is with fans?
