especially with McVay choosing to fly in 24 hrs before kickoff. 16hr long flights can really have an affect on "knee swelling".

Yeah I don't understand why mcvay is doing that? Shanahan is giving a week for his guys to get acclimated

Honestly, Rams seem like they don't give a f**k about this game. They're looking to get in, get out, and move onto their next game. The start of their schedule is pretty rough, so maybe it's a smart approach.
There is the all ways a slight chance that McVay may change his team's travel schedule just to try and play some tricks on everyone. Not saying it'll happen but he's played mind games before.
Who has the better OL? Rams or niners?
Is it confirmed that Donald isn't playing week 1?

Kyle has said if it were up to him, he'd do the same as flying in the day before then playing. He mentioned that it was the "science" that said its better to go in a week early, so thats why Kyle is doing it this way. As for Mcvay, not sure... I don't watch any of his interviews so...

I wonder who overruled kyle

Yeaaaah don't fall for the Rams' mind games here.

The Bears traded for Khalil Mack 8 days before the regular season started and he played.

Donald is 100% playing and Shanahan is going to game plan as if he's playing.

I will say this:

The game is 10:30 AM local time. No NFL game has ever been played before noon time within a respective time zone before.

I hope we don't get TOO acclimated to Australia time…

This was the argument I read (briefly) regarding the Rams travel plans, in conjunction with theories regarding adrenaline within a 48 hour travel window IIRC.

Shanny's son, McVittle, was already having doubts of going against his pappy first game of the season... begged Goodell to play far away from home so he won't have to get beat up in front of all their 6 fans at Levis South

If they cared about science, they wouldn't practice near a substation.
