I like the fact that Raheem can marry the front with the back in our pass defense. The last two superbowl losses, our pass defense simply didn't hold up in the 4th Qtr, and that was a big part of our losses there. When I say pass defense - pass rush and defensive pass coverage have to work hand in hand. We got one of the best DLine coaches in Kocurek -- and Raheem has won a superbowl with his pass coverages. i think D will be good but i also think it will take some time for them to hit their stride this is a completely new system there will be adjustments early on to tweak the D to our players

This is a wild thing to say. Saleh is well regarded as one of the better DC in the league and has coached multiple top defenses. The 49ers were playing absolutely nobodies out there last season and Saleh had them playing hard and competitive. I have no issues with how he was last season condiering he was working with a JV highschool team.

I disagree. In 1981 Walsh had a great DB draft and got his pass rusher in #74 and pretty much from worst in 1980 to first in 1981 (in a sense) in terms of defensive rankings.

The difference between Walsh/McVay and ShanaLynch is their ability to spot and draft talent. Now dont get me wrong - in my opinion ShanaLynch isn't that far off from Walsh/McVay in terms of talent spotting. But its more like shades of grey. While ShanaLynch can spot all-pro talent, Walsh/McVay could spot hall of fame talent. Again not disparaging ShanaLynch at all. One reason is I still think ShanaLynch (if they stay together) can get to that level (Walsh/McVay).

I truly think ShanaLynch - if they can replicate what they do in the later later rounds in the draft and have the same percentage of success in the earlier rounds, you are looking at another dynasty. They are still young - relatively speaking - when compared to the age that the Walsh/McVay team started in 1979.

He'll be fine. He was a head coach twice in his career. I'm more worried about injuries than anything else. Give Kyle a 100% healthy 2019 and 2023 team and I think he wins one or both of those 🏆 games.

Greenlaw and Feliciano leaving in the middle the SB and the Chiefs immediately exploiting both replacements says otherwise.

They still had a chance to win it despite losing those two guys. Maybe they should've known the overtime rules and not kick the field goal and not rely on the defense without Greenlaw to stop Mahomes

Doesn't matter, Kittle and Debo were both lame due to injuries. No guarantee the outcome changes if we do take the ball last

If Raheem can give us a top 15 defense we will win many games. Top 10 and we make a run.

i don't think we gave up that many a game last year when we were down warner, ppl sleep on warner he's one of the best mlb you will see
