Still hard to believe they won the SB

Sam f**king Darnold smh

Gotta give credit where it's due. Sam Darnold played really good this past season. Sure he had Smith-Nigbah and the #1 defense but he still put up some really good numbers.

Aren't we trying to find a #1 WR and a top 5 defense to go along with Purdy and CMC? Sure we are and won't look back if we destroy everyone too on the way to a Super Bowl win!!!

Kind of a loaded question.

It feels like it's possible, now that we have the 3rd best coach in the NFC West, lol. (semi joking)

Ultimately I don't think we'll contend for a superbowl unless we shore up our Oline and D. Too many bad offensive linemen and mediocre draftees on D.
Considering the way they draft there's no way we can make a comeback with this regime.

Basically we can resume this regime to 4 players: Kittle, Warner, Silverback, CMC (I won't give them credit for Bosa) and the only one that is under 30 is Warner.

Purdy?.....nah, Purdy is just another overpaid above-average QB. As we all watched, Mac Jones can do 90% of what Purdy can do for way less money.

Right now we have:

-3rd best coach in the division
-2nd best QB in the division
-3rd best O-line in the division
-3rd best skill position players in the division
-3rd best front-7 in the division
-2nd best secondary in the division
-2nd best special teams in the division
-3rd best GM in the division

Seahawks and Rams have surpassed the Niners because their last 3 or 4 drafts have been good while those same drafts have been garbage for us.

The Niners don't have a single player under 25 yrs old that is elite at this position.

Unless magically the Niners start drafting better than Seahawks and Rams I'd say that yes, our window is closed with this regime.

Now here comes a moderator to say this regime has been perfect in 3......2......1......

Not to mention 4th best WR group.

it's so silly to not mention all the injuries the team had to his past season. Yet, there was no excuses by this coaching staff and they still had a playoff win.

lol at Mac Jones can go what Purdy does. Yes Mac played good, but the offense rolls with Purdy at the helm. Not to make excuses but Mac Jones played with a healthier 9ers team for most of the season.

He didn't, especially if you're focused in on the offensive side of the ball.

Well Mac Jones had both Fred Warner and Mykel Williams on defense. Mac Jones had Trent Williams for all his games. Trent Williams sure he missed only one game but it was with Purdy.

Mac had Warner for four of his eight starts. I was mainly referencing offense:

-Kittle missed half of Mac's games. He was there for every Purdy game except two.
-Pearsall started in only two of Mac's games. He started in seven of Brock's.
-Jennings missed two of Mac's starts, none for Purdy.

Still think it's crazy we won that Rams game with Mac at QB and all three of these guys out.

On topic though... as long as Purdy stays healthy + one of the other NFC West opponents sucks during that season.. we'll always have a good shot at making the playoffs...and from there who knows.

As far as legit Super Bowl winning Window?... well that closed a while back after Kyle couldn't win with stacked roster on offense and defense. With Kyle repeatedly being his worse enemy. Kyle will never change, and he controls ALL the power.

While I detest the Seahags, they have the youngest average age of the 4 teams in our division, and are likely set up to be dominant for the next few years until they have to start paying big $ contracts. I know many 49ers fans want to spend big $ in free agency now to try and "fix the problem" immediately, but the way to get back on top is to build through the draft....get younger and cheaper, and then when we are almost there .....that is the time to bring in some free agents to put us over the top and get #6. Spending on expensive free agents now will just kick the can down the road further and keep us in that "good but not elite" team positioning.
Seattle Seahawks: ~25.77 years old (t-4th youngest in NFL)
Arizona Cardinals: ~26.19 years old (15th youngest in NFL)
San Francisco 49ers: ~26.30 years old (21st youngest in NFL)
Los Angeles Rams: ~26.38 years old (24th youngest in NFL)

Best QB is probably the reigning NFL MVP, then you have to go Darnold as he's just won a SB.
With Lynch? Window has been slammed shut and locked. Get a legit GM and don't let Kyle make draft decisions we could actually draft young good players and kick that s**t open again.
Yes, last year's window totally closed and a new one has opened
