Has our window closed?

Darnold gonna get paid soon, that will thin out Seattle. Stafford is getting old and has back problems. Arizona doesn't even know who their QB will be. I'd say were in the middle of a retooling and that our long-term QB situation is best in THE NFC west.

If Lynch doesn't start to make these early draft picks count and start picking more NFL conventional draftees (built to play in the NFL and with skills suited for the NFL) the window is going to be nailed shut and Brock's talent will be wasted

While I am optimistic about the draft I'm still hesitant to get to excited bc of Lynch's track record

Yep, this is what is a real bummer. Brock's talent might be wasted cause of these blumberbutts that can't use their heads. I saw a Purdy jersey today and didn't even get too excited (I normally do) lol. It's just, the way the front office has been, the injuries and now talks about Trent f**king Williams being gone..without a f**king replacement in sight..this is feeling like nails in the coffin.
This FO lacks f**king common sense, it's unreal. Aiyuk also, total disaster. And let's not get started on the embarrassment that was the Trey Lance scenario. I mean..what the actual f**k is going on in these guys' heads? Cobwebs and a couple gnats, I am telling ya. Maybe it's the power station..it's zapping away brain matter.

Darnold won't get a new deal again for another 2 seasons.

Windows can open and close very quickly. That's especially true if you have a stable FO, Coach and culture.
A couple decent draft picks, FA additions and general improvement from existing players can change things quickly.
We'll see, but no I wouldn't say it's closed yet.
As always, health is our biggest issue. If we don't sort that out then the window won't matter.

There is a lot of parity in the NFL these days. I don't think there is much diffrence between the top team and the 5th or 6th team. Any given Sunday IF a team is healthy. There are a LOT of factors that go into winning a SB. The Niners have an injury bug they need to figure out. In terms of window close, they still have fundemental pieces in place but they have about 2 years before they are facing retirements and these elite pro bowlers begin to lose their impact. So I say no, the window isn't closed but it is dependent on getting a couple of good draft picks and picking up a couple of free agents that fit the system and can make a real impact. These players need to supplement and be complimentary to the players they have.
They need to find in my opinion, someone on the DL to help Bosa. If they can fix their DL that improves the secondary and the rest of the defence. IF they can keep opposing offenses off the field then their offense can do what it can do as the opposing defense will tire and openings will occur. With WR they need to fix and get a couple of receivers that can both block and get open and do YAC. OL they need to get the OL replacements for Williams and others so they are set. I don't know if Shanahan and the FO feel this is a deep need based on past comments by Shanahan on certain players. I think they need two more very good OL starters for now and the future. They need to do this as they transition over the next couple of years and now is the time to find the future of the team. We'll see how they do. From now to July 1st will be interesting to see what their moves are and I am sure there will be plenty of opinions on that of course.

I mean, in 2019 nobody expected that our window was "open". Even this past year, if we were healthy, our window mightve been "open" and nobody really expected that either. Windows can open unexpectedly and quickly.
That said, we are too reliant right now on our older players for us to be, imo, a legitimate championship contender. We struggle to stay healthy and our best players are the ones who struggle the most with it. We need a couple real young impact players on both sides of the ball before I think we really have a chance.
