the most important thing on defense will be stopping the run. Don't let them control the clock.

on offense, Brock will need to be money in the intermediate area between the hash marks. And not get baited or fooled by Mike

Brock needs to see the dump passes more.

sammy can shoot up with pain injections before the game, but how is that going to hold up after the first good shot to the abdomen.... sammy says "nothing to see here", trying to deflect makes me thinks he isnt well

With our non existent pass rush , we wont even hit him once lol

Correct me if I'm wrong but dont niners and Seahawks just have a walkthroughs on Friday? So darnold really wouldn't have thrown any passes anyway on Friday, and he threw on Thursday before he got hurt?

I think this is schefter just trying to make news.

Darnold experienced discomfort early in Thursday's practice and stepped aside as a precaution. With Darnold sidelined, Drew Lock took the majority of the first-team practice snaps.

"In routes on air, just kind of felt a little something in my oblique," Darnold said. "Just didn't want to push it. It wasn't the day to push it. So, that was it. So, just came inside, got some rehab, and feel like I'll be ready to go for Saturday."

For the love of god no early down TOs. He's gotta be content knowing throw away or sack is better than tossing a pick on 1st or 2nd down. Wayyy too much of that s**t going on.

im with you get some quick screens and get upfield and block got CMC Brob etc.

that was just a dumb play call, lazy effort from JJ and bad throw from purdy.

entire train wreck.

would imagine they don't try that again.

No, Shefter has a solid reputation for reporting, not manufacturing news. He is the most reliable of all the talking heads, IMO.
On passing plays, keep an RB in to pick up blitz, delayed release to the flat for a checkdown option and to move an LB, and then escape on foot to the other side if nothing opens up. Can't expect to win too many one-on-one matchups or have too many open deep shots. Force them to cover every blade of grass.

One Seahawk that does not get as much attention as he should is #3, Nick Emmanwori. He is a rookie but already playing at a high level. He is listed as a Safety but he plays like a linebacker. Seattle uses him all over the field. At 220 pounds, he can run and cover. He reminds me of a more versatile Kam Chancellor. He will have the attention of every 49er receiver going over the middle. Kyle will try to scheme him out of the area. He is a mismatch for anybody trying to block him.

Don't force stuff to CMC. Brock has to remember he has Robinson, Jennings, Bourne, Tonges.

I just hope Shanny has a different game plan here from week 18

Hoping Pearsall is a part of that mix as well.

Oh, you know Shanahan will have a different game plan from week 18. Whether it's effective remains to be seen, but I'd be shocked if we came out with the same plan.

Hoping Brock uses his feet a bit more to extend some plays

I won't be shocked to be honest. The only difference is we have Williams and hopefully Ricky this game.

Shanny may just well "think" because Williams and Ricky are back, his prior game plan will work.....hope he doesn't think that though. I won't be surprised though if he comes out throwing on the first drive which will anger the zone of course.

They have to find a way to stretch out those zones because if Seattle is just going to be able to keep everything in front of them all night, the 49ers are going to get pummeled(literally and figuratively). The last time the 49ers and Seahawks played, all of Seattle's defenders just sat in their zones, refused to move no matter how hard Brock tried to look them off, and BLASTED every dump off or short pass the 49ers threw. If they're relying on breaking tackles or YAC, it ain't going to happen with how well that Seattle defense tackles. The Niners will lose if they try this s**t again. They have to put stress those zone defenders, or it's going to be a long night.

Which time lol? Dude has been tossing early down INTs for a while.

I love the gunslinger gotta make a play attitude, it's why they're where they are…but he's gotta be smart. Checkdowns and sacks on those early downs is sometimes the right play. Limit the TOs and we win this game.
