I have no information, but I also believe that yes, you can in certain situations, come home again. We have seen it with Saleh, I think we will see it with McDaniel. The wild card is if Saleh gets a head coaching gig and he takes Mike McDaniel with him.
What role would he occupy on the offensive staff because as it currently stands, is there a valid reason to demote or let go of Kubiak?
I mean does he wants to come back and be a senior assistant and or advisor or maybe assistant HC? Either way, it'd be a title in name only where he's likely another sharp mind in the room contributing to this organization.
On the flip side, he may field some offers to be an OC with play calling duties for some of the teams currently in need or who will be in need in short order.

I'm definitely on board with a return though.
same same .. just like before he became Miami's HC, he ain't gonna do much cause Shanny still calls the plays.
Saleh + McDaniels team would be interesting, but not clear that would happen. McDaniels may have other opportunities or simply sit a year then decide what to do next year. He may decide it's better to hang out with Kyle for a year instead of building with Saleh. That's if Saleh garners real interest. I still maintain his performance this year isn't anything special but isn't bad.
