And after awhile, I hope York the owner of the 49ers takes a good hard look at this organization. The firing of John Harbaugh was a perfect illustration. Yes you can blame injuries, you can blame this or that, but eventually, you have to make big changes if things are just not working, even if a lot of stuff is outside a coach's control. I will always support the 49ers and I hope this year they win the Super Bowl. But we got here not because of elite coaching through injuries but rather an easy 4th place schedule. And if you look at our losses - the Rams, Houston, Jacksonville, Seattle - we lost to the good teams. And we beat the bad teams. I love Brock but don't give Mac away just yet. We need Brock to prove he can win the big games. And Kyle needs to prove the same. If they can't, I hope Jed is not afraid to make some hard decisions which teams like Baltimore did - and those were the right decisions.
We've actually beat 4 of the 6 playoff teams in the nfc.
And Philly will make it number 5. That's saying, coaching is the last problem we have. 🤷‍♂?
Lot of folk here not been around football people that don't understand the 49ers are easily a top ten organization in the NFL as presently constructed. Every win against NFL opponents is tremendous and 12-5 is tremendous

I would ask folk that say we have an easy schedule. Who are the tough teams we needed to play that would've made our record respectable? And which teams played this dream high degree of difficulty schedule and what is their record?

By most posters accounts here that say we had an easy schedule they must not count but ten teams in a league of 32 to be worth playing? Now who played all ten of those teams? Nobody!

And this is what we're talking about. 32 teams won't play a 17 game schedule against those 10 teams to 12-5. There's plenty of worst to first in this league and at 12-5 we're only third place in our division as injury riddled as we are.

Cause that worked last time

Fangio is smart.

Seattle absolutely embarrassed our offense. Stuffed CMC and didn't allow for much else. CMC isn't getting as much YPC like he used to. Kittle is money for the most part but his ankle, iffy? and lol he looked all of a sudden, older in that SEA game. Why we didn't use Tonges is beyond me.

This is a different defense obviously but I wouldn't underestimate them. The difference is, we will have Trent..but how healthy? And no Ricky..ridiculous. I like Bourne but not really a WR1. We do have JJ though, who is one tough sob this season with the injuries he has had. F BA man, f that guy smh

Like someone said earlier, I think we gotta get things going early..cause we know about Shanny's 1-39 b******t lol. I hope he's got something else up his sleeve besides a desperate, double flea flicker.
The Good News: I had a dream last night we were playing Seattle in the Division game.
The Bad News: We were down like 9-3.

Woke up before the ending, but at least we had the ball and driving. Previous drive we turned over the ball.

We win 10-9. Enjoy.

I dream these things all the time.

I can assure you, they never go the way I dream them.

If you like ranking teams then sure.. I will bite but please don't suggest we have any chance of advancing past tomorrow. Last time we faced the eagles in the playoffs we had no offense due to Brock's injury, this time we have no defense and a restricted offense due to injuries, age and talent. This team is not a serious playoff team. You don't have to be knowledgeable about the team or football in general to see that. I also disagree with your take on the schedule. Saints, Cardinals, Falcons, Giants, Panthers, Browns, Titans, Colts, and Bears. That is a soft ass schedule. W-L records of teams we beat. Saints: 6 wins, 11 losses Cardinals: 3 wins, 14 lossesL Falcons: 8 wins, 9 lossesNew York Giants: 4 wins, 13 lossesCarolina Panthers: 8 wins, 9 lossesCleveland Browns: 5 wins, 12 lossesTennessee Titans: 3 wins, 14 losses Indianapolis Colts: 8 wins, 9 lossesChicago Bears: 11 wins, 6 losses . Yes we beat rams and hawks but don't be fooled. Luck and more luck secured those wins. 8 wins against sub .500 team…. Soft.

The bolded statements for me are hard to read. Not specifically from you, but from anybody.
The italicized statement: It's like that means NOTHING at all.
I have made it a practice, as I've grown older, more mature, of encouraging young people (as I can and where I can and as I have opportunity) to believe they can do Anything!
To not let anybody tell them they cannot do this or that. To believe in themselves.
I would not tell my team, any time, either of the bolded statements. I don't care if they were the Practice squad!
I love the hope and anticipation I have over this Philadelphia game. I just want to see the Niners do battle. If they lose, life will go on.
Of course I believe they CAN win. And I will be locked in on EVERY SINGLE play!

They didn't beat one top defense with any semblance of an offense. That week 1 game is no where near what the Seahawks look right now. This team just isn't strong and the fact they won 12 games is a miracle. They just aren't in the same league as Philly right now with half their defense playing with backups.

Next year will be a lot more difficult and you know 1-2 big players will miss most of the year. That's the norm now. The all pro players are all old.

The 49ers are the perfect example of an organization that is content with winning a lot of regular season games and selling tickets. The eagles are the standard right now.

Not only that, I highly doubt we'll have another year where guys like Mahomes, Jackson, Burrow are all out. On the NFC side there might be more contenders in the pot next year eg Atlanta maybe Dallas Detroit and Minnesota if they get a QB.

this is a prime year to win it all because of the lack of competition. Brock is the best QB outside of Stafford on the NFC side, and probably number 3 behind Stafford and Allen in the entire playoffs.
The Panties already won against the Rams earlier this season, right? I am hoping for number two 🙏 It's impressive how CAR has beaten some of the toughest teams. The quiet assassin..let's go gatitos.

So we were a well-oiled machine at that time? Where would we be now if didn't lose Bosa, Warner, and Williams and Pearsall and various other key players through the course of the season? If BP didn't have a bum toe? If Pearsall wasn't such a princess and maybe Aiyuk was back on track? We'd have the #1 seed for sure.

100%

Also, Princess Pearsall is kinda funny

Their defense is good but their offense is abysmal. I think rams will blow them out but would great for an upset.

playoffs almost always have upsets - will be interesting to see who they are with this year.

I think:
Texans beat steelers
Chargers beat patriots (chargers pass pro is terrible but otherwise they're a stout team).
bills beat jags (unlikely but I hope lol).

NFC
Rams over panthers (I wish opposite but unlikely)
Niners over eagles (I never root against the Niners but I think there a great chance we lose)
packers over bears

I think home teams will lose a lot this weekend
