MAYBE, just maybe, the BEST AND SOUND DEFENSIVE UNIT we'll be facing all year long.. .they are not dominant, but they just work well as an overall UNIT w/a great chemistry ..

this may just be our last L this season...

Well the Titans did run up on the Browns' top 5 defense too the prior weekend to our game so there's that.

That said, Saleh just has to maintain his 'bend, don't break' defensive plan with our band aid defense. Having some guys return to practice this week should help.

Colts are ranked 6th in run defense, allowing a stingy 3.7 YPC.

But they're second last in pass YPG, although they do have a respectable 18-12 TD to INT ratio.

Luckily, we're not relying on the run game to win games, although we tend to stick to it which is helpful for TOP and play action.

We just got to hope Purdy takes care of the football this game because if he starts turning it over, I don't see us having a chance. If he plays a clean game like he did against the Titans, then things should go really well. Probably need to score 30 though with our defense.

I'm optimistic.

Did anyone else notice the Niners are calling more patterns outside the numbers since the Panthers game? Purdy made important throws outside in both games. See the deep shot to Kittle vs CLE and the out/comeback patterns to Jennings/Pearsall vs CLE and TEN.

Seems as if Shanahan is changing it up a bit. Combine that with a healthier Purdy rolling out to pass and also throwing the ball away (when needed), and you can see a more balanced pass attack that doesn't constantly spam the dangerous middle of the field.

The old man can still sling it, but Rivers is a statue stuck in the mud... lets press his azz in coverage and make him sit in the pocket a little longer and see what happens.
Worried about their run game against our front 7.
Worried about our run game against their competent run defense.
Worried about our sandy vagina receiving corps not being healthy enough to attack their pass coverage weakness.
If we eliminate turnovers I think we win this thing by +7.
