You could say "If only they had drafted him" also.

If only Brady wasn't involved in this I'd be much more interested.

Lol kinda this tbh or just a lot less involved, like a snippet would be fine but Tom likes to talk about himself a lot and I guess there are some who like to listen lol

Agreed talk about growing up a 49er fan and how Joe inspired him and leave it at that,it'll be rough listening to him narrate his voice seriously gets on my nerves lol.

Can't wait for this! We've had the America's game episodes, Joe's Under Pressure series on peacock and the Football life episodes.. but this might be the true immersive deep dive into the 1980s-1990s dynasty!
Looking forward to this today and tomorrow. Became a Niners fan in the very difficult times a couple of years before Eddie D. became owner - this series will bring back some incredible memories.

Yet also seeing Tom Brady, a Niners fan growing up from San Mateo, is an Executive Producer of this series. Damn, that just reminds what could have been in that 2000 draft. If only the Niners would have drafted him...how that could have further shaped this franchise in winning in years to come and hopefully could've added more SBs to their 5. Tough to think about. Very tough to remember the Niners drafting that year Gio Carmazzi, the 2nd QB picked in that draft (and one of six picked ahead of Brady).

This series looks to have four episodes - two today and two tomorrow.

Tom Brady was literally one of us. A diehard 49ers fan. Don't know if he would've been what he became if the 49ers drafted him but I'm pretty sure he would've been a hell of a lot better than Giovani Carmazzi!

Not Bill's finest hour. Thankfully as this show reminds us...he had more than plenty of stuff for us to be very happy about.

Also I don't mind Brady being involved. As mentioned he was one of us and I appreciate that he gives the 49ers credit for helping him become as great as he was.

Watching this and how he looks at the Niners and the footage shows how much he wanted to be a Niner. Can't believe we passed on him twice.

100% this. Just watching this with him involved and how much of a fan he was (maybe still is?) kind of hurts. Really wish he was somehow part of the Niners' organization right now with his almost unparalleled competitive fire to win in addition to his football knowledge in being one of the best ever to play the game.

A fear I have going forward is, with his competitive drive, he's going to somehow find a way to help the Raiders figure things out and turn things around with him being part owner of that franchise. Helping find the right coaches (Kubiak might be a start) and others involved with football decisions along with acquiring the right players to turn around their fortunes. Hope not as it's the Raiders, a team I've always despised growing up here in the Bay Area.

I absolutely agree with this. I'm a year younger than Brady. Watching him talk about the niners was like exactly like how I felt about the team. I actually appreciated Brady in this and I love how connected he was to the team.

Same.

Now can he somehow get out of being part owner of the Raiders and become a part of the Niners in some capacity (an ownership part, whatever)? Let's finally get him and the winner he is as a part of this organization. Perhaps this franchise could use some of his competitive fire to win along with his football knowledge.
