49ers already up to full TD 7-point favorites against the Panthers. Hype is growing…

Who cares where a bunch of bookies are setting the market for wagers? I never understood this fetish with "talking about the lines". It's where the market for gambling clears. Supply and demand. The end. It has zero relevance to the game.
.
On the actual football field, (the remnants of) our defence can't stop a baby crawling towards the goal line. It's all on the O. If they play a clean game we win, and I don't care if it's by half a point, despite what "Vegas" thinks.

"In 2002-2003, the Ohio State Buckeyes won the National Championship; the Panthers opened the season against the Jaguars, and Jennifer Lopez divorced her husband. This all led to the Panthers going to the Super Bowl that year."
"In 2014-2015, the Buckeyes won it all, the Panthers opened the season against the Jaguars, Jennifer Lopez divorced another husband, and the franchise went back to the Super Bowl."
"In 2024-2025, the Buckeyes just won it all, the Panthers are opening against the Jags, and Lopez divorced Ben Affleck."

I've always thought that in a strange way, once you pronounce the pattern, it ends there, and the last one mentioned as a possibility does not occur.
That's a nice pov. Another thing is, the two previous times, they had beaten the Shaguars on the seasons they went to SB, this year they lost to the Shags so, no SB for them
and nonetheless, I hope Niners slap the snot out of them But this below is still troubling

BP and the offense might have to drop a 60 burger with a prayer to win it

I predict at least two more picks for our young secondary/linebackers. I dearly hope that one will be a Pick 6. There is no way Carolina's D is going to slow down Brock Purdy.

Then go ahead and bet on the Panthers.
((But seriously 7-point favorites is pretty high IMO))

7 point favorites? That seems high. Unless Vegas wants a bunch of people betting on the Panthers.

Nearly everyone, including the refs, now that gambling is so prevalent that ESPN pushes it more than actual sports.

Packers were 5.5 pt favorites against the 49ers at home in the '21 playoffs.
Praise be to Shanahan.
