You really think a healthy team coached by Shanahan and Saleh is "well behind" the Rams in terms of talent level and coaching? Didn't we just beat them in week 5 with a depleted team? What does that say about the Rams and how well coached/talented they are?

Of course they will have the deeper playoff run this year. That's common sense.

Well their coach WON the Super Bowl. Ours never has. So there is a pretty big difference right there.

SAN... haven't I told you before that you'll never win the argument with the Shannanigans here.. his followers here still have yet to see clearly enough that our windows have closed because our HC had not made any adjustment to make this team better... he still believes too much that he can win all by himself w/any players in the roster..

I still wonder what great coach you want to replace Kyle?

As I said, all the top teams this year have hired their coach after Shanahan

Colts
Patriots
Seahawks
Eagles
Chargers
Lions

There are coaches out there. Hell Ben Johnson would have been great. Hes doing a great job with the bears. So dont tell me there aren't coaches out there.

But we want to know WHO YOU want. Why punt on this question. Surely you must have some valuable ideas.

79 wins, 72 losses, and 3 ties--we lead the lifetime series. It has always been a competitive rivalry. Sometimes we are better, sometimes they are. Hence, a rivalry.
Rams are better run organization right now. It's just a fact. I've always had mad respect for McVay. I think he and Shanny are on the same level as play designers, sequencers and head coaches. McVay just sealed the deal. What really impresses me about the Rams is their personnel. Les Snead, who was literally on the verge of being fired in 2016, completely turned over the entire roster in a few drafts. They've got an elite QB, elite WR, and an elite DL with a ton of young, quality starters and depth. You have to give them their due.

Every time I watch their DL I'm blown away by how well they've drafted. It's the best DL in the NFL, and the entire line was homegrown. The 49ers would kill to have two young edges like Jared Verse and Byron Young(ELITE).

We passed on Mahomes for Kirk Cousins traded for Jimmy G and franchised our 7th round pick all while losing to Mahomes twice. During that time we failed to get Stafford and Brady when they were available

LA has Stafford. The QB pedigree is the only difference. It always has been since Steve Young left here

Don't forget we could have signed Brady for 2-3 years.

I wonder who specifically of the leadership made the final call to not sign Brady?

I believe the Niners blowout the Chiefs both times with McVay as HC. Whereas the Rams are worse off with Shanahan.

Shanahan is a very good HC. McVay is on a different tier

Except when it really counted.

Expecting to blow out either of those Chiefs teams is pure delusion. One loss by more than one score across both seasons.

I think McVey is a great coach, would like to see him coach and go to the SB with Jimmy G instead of a HofF QB
