You keep ignoring this. The fact thay youre blaming the defense tells me all i need to know about your bias.
You wanna talk about bias? How about you claiming Kyle kicked the field goal lost the game.
That is a ridiculous take when you actually look at what happened in that game. He just watched Burford go against what he was coached to do and as a result blow up a sure TD play that Kyle drew up on 3rd down…but your idea of smart coaching is seeing that failure on a what should be a TD play and go for it on 4th down vs an elite defense and potentially give Mahomes who Kyle should've been so scared of…the opportunity to win the SB with a FG?
And do you honestly want to sit here that you wouldn't have absolutely bashed him for not taking the lead at that point?
Once again this is not a genuine argument. You're making emotional hindsight coaching analysis while Kyle had to make the call in the moment and he absolutely made the right call.
Once again…McVay's defense got the stop with a 3 point lead. Kyle's didn't. Cope some more.

Sorry, but that offense should have been able to score more than 19 points. If McVay or Belichick are on the 49ers sideline, that game is over in the 3rd quarter.
Why is it that Shanahan has been associated with four huge games (three were at least ten point leads in quarter 4,) in which a team could not hold on to a two score lead. Is that a coincidence or maybe he is a great HC who is brutal in clutch moments?
Lmao…it's absolutely HILARIOUS that you chose those two coaches in that analogy.
As if we didn't watch McVay take an elite offense into a SB and fail to top 3 points vs a lesser defense than the one KC put on the field in 2023.
And Belichick who with Tom Brady in his best pro season couldn't get more than 14 points vs a lesser defense coached by Spags.
You really can't make this up. This is why people don't take these types of takes seriously. Because people understand each game is different and player execution is still a key part of winning SBs. Even great coaches can get got, including the two guys you claim would've had it won in the 3rd quarter cuz I guess they would've prevented all those turnovers and Greenlaw/Feliciano injuries.

rams are in a much better state than us because:
- they got a REAL franchise qb, who thrives under pressure and is a future hall of famer. Of all the moves the they made over the past decade, that was the most important one. garoppolo, purdy (and even alex smith and kaepernick before them) were and are all qbs in top 15-20 tier, stafford is easily top 7 (and top 3 in both 2021 and this season) and has been truly consistent most of his career.
- they got real lucky that the bengals beat chiefs
- refs were on their side in their sb win and also when they beat saints in 2018. refs were against us in our 3 sb losses, especially the first 2
- incredible injury streak, horrific for us and great for them
- the trade for ramsey was a bold move by them, and was a success. von miller as well. the trade for lance was a bold move for us, and it was one of the worst ever. trading buckner out was also horrible. we did have some good trades like cmc or williams, but losing 3 1st rd for lance while they only sent 2 1sts for stafford is a really HUGE difference between the 2 teams
in terms of in game coaching, strategy and motivating the players, both are very good hcs and have pretty good coordinators as well. it is unfortunate that kyle could not win the sb because he is elite, but him, the coordinators and the players failed at the worst possible times and that hurts us so much as fans. this is why i insist that, for the fans (not for the players or coaches) losing the final of any major competition is much worse than having the worst record of them all
to sum it up, the main reason why they are currently better than us while also having won a sb is more related to:
1- much better trades
2- luck
3- refs
4- execution in crucial moments

Aww, look at you. Bringing down two great coaches just to prop up Kyle. Shame

Shanny as OC has 3 of the top 10 worst choke jobs in SB history to his record. Say what you will about McVay and Belichick but neither hold a team on the top 10 like this.

Belichick/McVay never blew four separate ten point leads in postseason games. All within seven years. Three SB lossesand the Rams game. Kyle was OC for all of them.
It's ok for us fans to acknowledge he is a very good HC who can't quite get over the hump. It doesn't mean we want him fired or hate him.
Basically I am saying I agree with you lol

I guess it depends on how you define choke jobs. I think most people understand games are 4 quarters long and lead changes are a thing. Anyway:
The 49ers were slight underdogs (1.5 points) against the Chiefs in 19, and slight favorites (2.0 points) against them in 23.
Belichick and the Pats were 12.5 point favorites against the Giants in 07… which I believe is the 3rd largest point spread upset in SB history. A defining choke job for one of the greatest teams in league history… arguably the greatest. To Belichick's credit the Pats were also victorious in the 2nd largest upset in SB history against the Rams in 01.

Honestly what are you even talking about?
What I said was factual information. The other dude acted like those two coaches specifically would've easily had the game won as if we didn't see them absolutely blow their own games when favored vs pretty much similar circumstances.
Either your post is worded incredibly poorly or your information is bad.
Shanahan as OC has been in the SB once. Once again a team blowing a 25 point lead is not on the OC. No matter how many times you all want to bring that up it will always be the same thing…a ridiculous take which makes you all look like major hypocrites when you then turn around and blame Shanahan for EVERYTHING cuz he's the HC.

Quick what did Belichick win without Brady? McVay without Stafford?
Also bringing up a 10 point lead in the last SB is absolutely dumb. It was the 2nd quarter and the Chiefs scored on their next drive.
Don't recall anyone crying about Jim Harbaugh "choking" in the 2013 NFCCG.
Also once again…the idea that an OC chokes away a 2 score lead is laughable. Pick a lane and stick to it. Either it's all on the HC or the coordinators get blame.
Out here comparing guys with Tom Brady and Matt Stafford as their QBs to Shanahan's QBs…

Google it if you'd like "the biggest come from behind wins in NFL Super Bowl history" Kyle is on the receiving end of 3 of them including #1.

He was OC for Atlanta. What else?
You want to blame him for that but somehow not Saleh for the 2019 loss?
What's the 3rd btw…since your google is better than mine.

A 10-0 lead in the 2nd quarter is a choke job now?

9ers losing to Baltimore was a far bigger choke job.
