they almost, almost depend only on themshelves,... just need one more Lambs' loss

Incorrect.

If both Green Bay and us win out, Green Bay gets the higher seed.

49ers will get the 1 seed if the following happens:
We win out
AND
Both Green Bay and the Rams lose 1 more game
It's crazy we're even talking about a 1 seed . This team makes me so proud fighting through the adversity .

fair point
I didn't take into account GB,.... just thinking in the Bears as they are now leading,.... but, yeah if GB win all their games they would surpass the Bears and they would have a better record than our's winning all our games

9ers need both Lambs and GB to lose one game to depend only on themselves,.... but I see this as very probable,.... GB has a really tough remaining schedule,... they play twice the Bears (which are going to probably decide the division), Denver, Ravens and Vikings (who are not lighting it but are divisional foes)

and Lambs have to play Detroit and Seattle

If we are more realistic than idealistic at this time, we may be hoping for a wildcard spot and then a deep run to the super bowl. Realistic meaning a wildcard over division win.

If that is the case, it may be in our best interest to be rooting for teams that are going to get in by winning their division - Philly and Tampa. Have them beat the teams we will be competing for a wildcard with - Detroit, Chicago, Green Bay and Seattle.

I think we want the Rams to beat Seattle this weekend. Let the Rams run away with the division. Seattle I think is weaker and will have 1 less loss than us and we still play them at home final game.

So I guess I'm rooting for Philly, Rams and Tampa to help us get the 5th seed in the playoffs.

It's still early... Lambs have to play seaCucks (twice), Tampa Bay, @ Panthers, Lions, @ Falcons and Tards (twice). Anything could happen between now and playoffs.

We might be banged up now, but the offense could be getting healthy at the right time. Our defense is a mess, but they could improve from now and until playoffs.

Other teams that are looking good because they aren't ravished with injuries (like us) could end up getting the injury bug at the wrong time. Negative Nancies will start preaching, "sky is falling" and all kinds of sh!t because they're pissed off (I get it). But let's wait and see... at least till the bye week.

Imo, we get to 11 wins (losing at Browns / Colts)... we'll see if that's good enough in the end. It'll be good enough for a wildcard for sure. I'm not crowning Lambs or cawkSuckers quite yet when it's quite possible that they can lose 4/5 more games each.

Sh!t earlier this month I had us losing in Cleveland / Indy...

Already beat Brownies! Colts have QB with gimp limp... there's a solid chance for us to win out

There's a good chance that Lions and Packers could wind up with one or two more losses than the 49ers. And I wouldn't be surprised if 49ers, Lambs, seaCucks, Eagles and Tampa end up with the same record in the end... Tampa would have the tie breaker on us because we lost down there

There's no clear path or world beaters in the NFC... it's too early to tell if we're the 7th, 5th or even 4th seed

lol lot of wishful thinking in that post…

Dear doc, look at each teams' schedule... w/out being a homer / hater for either team, tell me who is running away

Show me your predictions of each team W/L You can't come through with clear cut scenarios, I bet you try and still can't

Come up with an analysis... you'll convince yourself with something just to feel good and sleep well tonight and maybe tomorrow

Come on now. Just in our division alone, the Seahawks an Rams are way better than us. You're banking on injuries to level the playing field when in reality no one is going to have an injuries that match the losses we have. Stafford is not going down. Neither is Darnold or Njigba. And even if they do both those teams have enough talent on the roster to somewhat quell those losses.

Even w/out those injuries... sh!t occurs
Would be really nice if some losing team could cut a veteran that really wants to play in the playoffs… like a de, dt or mlb.

In the ESPN playoff simulator I had us winning out and the Rams losing one to the Lions and for some reason they still have the Rams winning the tie breaker for the 1 seed

If Niners / Lambs have same record in the end (13-4), LA wins tie breaker unless they lose against seacucks, then we'll win

We beat Panthers, Lambs lost to them today (that's 1 for us). However, they beat 3 teams that Niners lost to

Just goes by conference record though.

I edit it... look at it. I'm not sure, I'm guessing with the edit

OIC, since Lambs lost to 3 NFC teams and we only lost (if we win out) against 2 NFC teams huh? Alright

The only advantage of the number one seed for us is that it gets us a bye week. Aside from that I don't really think Levi's is a good home field. For one there's always a chance for rain in January and that is a disadvantage for us. Two, Niner fans in Cali are soft. A little bit of sun thy show up late. Little bit of rain they hide under the scaffolds. I've noticed that fans outside the Bay Area are more rabid. We're louder and don't let the elements damper our mood.

If we win out and the Rams lose to the Lions, we would have the tiebreaker due to better conference record.

We would have tiebreaker over Rams since we have better conference record.
Right now Rams and us both have 1 loss in division. Rams have 1 more loss in conference. So if we win out, we would have the tiebreaker.
