I feel the next game against the Rams is a must win for both teams. A Ram's wins put them up 2 games on the Niners. A Niner win puts them up over the Rams in the west. The Rams seem to be playing okay ball right now and I see the game as being close. How important do you feel it is for a Niners win and what do you think they need to do to come out the victors? I think the defense is going to give up points to Stafford, yet I think the Niners will be able to pass the ball as they have been doing. Niners have to stay close in this one and it may just come down to like the first game who wins the turnover game. Again, what do you think the Niners need to do to win this and is this a must win for the Niners?

My week is probably going to be like this:

Monday-Saturday: "We can do this! We all thought we had no shot playing in LA on a short week and look what happened! We can do it again at Levi's on a full week let's go!"

Sunday at 2:00: "This game is over. On to next week!"

We have 3 classes of players on ther 49ers. Healthy, always injured and always in limbo. Unfortunately the last 2 make up most of the roster.

the most frustrating thing is...many people said that they dont know if Stafford can make it with the back issues...yet its a sick joke as it turned out to be Brock who only played two games to be least durable QB in the division this year

And yes, I know Kyler Murray supposedly got injured by being startled by a premature snapped football flying into his facemask.

Doesn't that mean Aiyuk is done for the year?

I can't for the life of me understand timelines on a player's recovery from ACL tears. I'm old enough to remember the good old days when Jerry tore his game 1 and returned later that same season.

I just thought this was the last week to open the window before BA had to stay on the PUP.

Maybe that's next week. Might work out. We could activate right before the bye and he could get one more week before coming back.

He also suffered a separate knee injury in that MNF game and missed the rest of the season.

The 'headline' (so to speak) injury is the same but it's not necessarily the same injury or the same recovery. Aiyuk's knee was destroyed. It wasn't a clean tear.

The best way to win this game is to control the clock and keep Stafford off the field and your depleted defense off the field. Need to get the run game going and have some 8+ minute drives. And go for it on 4th and short everytime you have the ball around midfield or better. 4th and 4 or less.

Agreed. Would need some breaks just like we got last game as well (turnovers).
