I feel the next game against the Rams is a must win for both teams. A Ram's wins put them up 2 games on the Niners. A Niner win puts them up over the Rams in the west. The Rams seem to be playing okay ball right now and I see the game as being close. How important do you feel it is for a Niners win and what do you think they need to do to come out the victors? I think the defense is going to give up points to Stafford, yet I think the Niners will be able to pass the ball as they have been doing. Niners have to stay close in this one and it may just come down to like the first game who wins the turnover game. Again, what do you think the Niners need to do to win this and is this a must win for the Niners?
You know what's really effing stupid if the playoffs started today which they don't but if they did we'd be facing the Rams in WC at Levi South, damn can't ever get away from these MFers.
We ain't beating the rams unless we outscore them, this defense not gonna stop them getting 30+ meaning we need to score 30+
Better have bartch, purdy, pearsall, and huff all come back and make some other move at edge this week.

Otherwise I give us like 20-30% chance to pull this one out.

We're not beating any team if we don't outscore them.
Just not sure we can now. This team is so beat up at all the key positions. It just keeps getting more and more injured too. An unbelievable year.
I think this game is a must win to win the division but not a must win for the wildcard. Even if we lose we are still a wildcard.
Most important game of the year...to this point.

You may be right but alot of people including myself didn't give them a snowballs chance in hell of beating the Rams in LA the first go around of course alot of bodies have hit the floor since then but strange things can happen in rivalry games.
Can never count out the Niners vs the Rams when it's Kyle vs McVay. The matchup on paper doesn't really matter.

Agree with this completely. Divisonal game aside, this particular matchup is always unique because of the coaches. I think Shanahan will have a good gameplan in place. Hopefully we have some of our guys back!

I just wish they could chip and give McKivitz help. He's gonna need it.
we open up as 3pt underdogs.
It might take 11 wins to get into the playoffs in the NFC this year. This game isn't a must win but have to defend home field against division rivals.
