Have you seen that Texans Oline? We will be fine. They have absolutely nothing on that offense to worry about

I cant see it being anything significant because it would be very dumb to give up any decent picks for a rental.

Which is why they aren't looking for a rental

So you believe that Trent, Kittle, CMC, Warner, Bosa, and Aiyuk all still have 3-4 years left playing at a high level? They're not getting any younger or healthier. You strike when you have a chance. You have 1 more week to make a choice.

2 of those players you list won't suit up again this year. Another one is still currently on IR. Not sure why you would go all in on a rental.

keep in mind, the 49ers have already made 3 trades this year. Huff (5th, that becomes a 4th if he gets to 8 sacks,) Robinson (6th), and Moore (7th swap),

Lots of the same fans pulling for more trades are the same people who complain about having no roster depth.

It has to be the right trade. What did getting Chase Young and Randy Gregory do for our defense in 23? Not much.

Speaking of roster depth, those folks who were complaining sure have been silent on that subject as of late. I guess that 5-2 record with a bunch of backups will do that.

I appreciate the thought process on all this, but let's keep the trade scenarios realistic. No one is trading for BA (or considering it worth anything) and SF isn't tossing multiple 2nds.

We traded a pile of picks for CMC. We will do it again if it means adding a legit player who fits a need and who is signed for next year.

That was for one player, not multiple players and tossing another player with a big contract and a massive knee injury that he's currently recovering from.

that deal is not realistic if you look at the history of trades at the deadline…this isn't fantasy football, that's all I'm saying.

We aren't taking on that contract with 31 mil owed the next two years

From what I've read it's not GTD past this yr

Why the f**k couldn't SF do this in the very least?

it specifically says he's been waiting for the right opportunity. it's possible HE didn't view SF as such.

The Ravens are 1-5.

We're 5-2.

Lamar is still hurt.

I know our fanbase loves ****ing on ourselves for whatever reason but your logic makes no sense.

no sense? lol. there many players who dont want to play in California. there are many players who would rather stay and play close to their families. you have no idea what his motivations were. he said other teams reached out and were interested but he chose BAL because of its rich defensive history.

Lamar is back this week.

Who cares. He's not that good an not an upgrade on who we have

I dont think they trade for anyone.

This could be the correct answer that nobody wants to hear

We'll find out closer to the deadline. Right now it seems like teams aren't in a hurry to offload for a 4th or 5th rounder and perhaps teams' asking prices are not in range with Lynch / 49ers

Imagine no injuries (Bosa / Huff in there), Huff and the Rookies get better in the system after each game... it's not farfetched to say that they could've been playing like an elite D line by end of the season (just in time for playoffs)

Hopefully Huff gets back to 100% soon. Williams / Collins are looking real good out there and they're going to have to elevate Beal or Gipson soon. I prefer Gipson

I do believe Lynch tried but the trade / price wasn't in the same ballpark with 49ers (aligns completely).

This dude's still here and getting better. He might end up being this year's Ebukam, Hyder, Omenihu or even Key with Saleh / Koc coaching him up https://www.49erswebzone.com/forum/niners/197649-sam-okuayinonu-promoted-practice-squad/page6/

I think they roll with what we got and let them grow up in this system. I mean so far, still getting those "W's".

It's awesome that Bosa / Warner are in the building everyday, for the youngsters, it's like having extra coaches. The D line is still improving even tho Bosa isn't on the field.

The entire defense is still improving w/out our two leaders (Warner / Bosa) playing. They could've been elite by season's end, but they could still be formidable. That says a lot about Saleh, as well.

I like the idea of continuing to use our draft assets to build the team via the draft.

We've done well in the past two drafts, almost as if we've turned some kind of corner in that regard.

We just need to keep that up in the '26 draft and beyond.

Absolutely!

I can't wait till they draft a couple of stud O linemen next year and more defense. They really may have turned that corner

I'd do a 2 all day long for QW. He's still young and signed next year for 25 mil.

I know we asked for him before when talking trades.

I'd do a blockbuster for Quinnen Williams and Will McDonald. And If somehow we could unload Brandon Aiuyk to them too that would be icing on the cake.

2026 2nd and 4th
2027 2nd and 5th
Brandon Aiuyk

For

Quinnen Williams
Will McDonald

I'd even be tempted to throw a 1st and 3rd their way for those guys.

DE- Will McDonald / Sam O
DT- Quinnen Williams
DT- Alfred Collins
DE- Bryce Huff / Mykel Williams

Thats a nasty Dline

I appreciate the thought process on all this, but let's keep the trade scenarios realistic. No one is trading for BA (or considering it worth anything) and SF isn't tossing multiple 2nds.

Not even looking up what Williams' contract is, but trading Aiyuk right now losses the 49ers cap room in 2026 like $14M, this isn't happening, no big deals are gonna happen, nor should they trade away that amount of draft picks plus 2026 cap room, not happening, not sure why people don't research this stuff before making trade suggestions.
No worries. Lynch will bring in Solomon Thomas.
