Not having any INTs by the secondary thus far.........

It could turn a good secondary into a very good one. A ball hawking FS out there can keep a QB second guessing and help out a struggling D line. High prolific offenses with good QBs can pick us apart...

But since our secondary is pretty good and still developing, 49ers could get by as long as Saleh keeps game planning his azz off.

I'd love Simmons or Whitehead if either wanted to come here

We'll find out closer to the deadline. Right now it seems like teams aren't in a hurry to offload for a 4th or 5th rounder and perhaps teams' asking prices are not in range with Lynch / 49ers

Imagine no injuries (Bosa / Huff in there), Huff and the Rookies get better in the system after each game... it's not farfetched to say that they could've been playing like an elite D line by end of the season (just in time for playoffs)

Hopefully Huff gets back to 100% soon. Williams / Collins are looking real good out there and they're going to have to elevate Beal or Gipson soon. I prefer Gipson

I do believe Lynch tried but the trade / price wasn't in the same ballpark with 49ers (aligns completely).

For some reason they have never shown any interest in Carl Lawson in his career and he's been available a lot it seems too. Maybe he sucks in the locker or something? Why didn't the Cowboys resign him especially after they traded away Parsons? He would be the Cowboys main pass rusher right now and they have a better record than the Ravens who ship seems to be sinking. I don't know but something seems off on Lawson.

I've wanted him since he came out though.

Wouldn't call Simmons a ball hawk FS at this point in his career.

a DL that can get consistent pressure leads to INTs all the same imo.

You had some folks that were team QW over Bosa during the draft. Both were/are good players.
Bosa > QW though.

That said, I'll never say no to a good DT. Still think the need is on the edge more than anything.

I like the idea of continuing to use our draft assets to build the team via the draft.

We've done well in the past two drafts, almost as if we've turned some kind of corner in that regard.

We just need to keep that up in the '26 draft and beyond.
