Lesson learned, only 29 players claimed from waiver wire, zero 49ers claimed.

Jags had at least one player claimed (by us), so I guess that makes them better than us, if thats how it works

Yes that is exactly how it works.
Jags and Saints are better than the Eagles too. Eagles had zero players claimed..

ONLY 29 players were claimed. Moving forward understand with the new PS at 16 I strongly believe most teams are happy with the players they selected and choose to put them on their practice squads. Tired of threads worried about players getting claimed, when in reality that rarely happens.
On that note, I am uber happy with PS so far. Robbie Chosen could be elevated game 1 as WR.
Zoners fall in love with potential not reality.
For sure but I think that's true for all sports fans
It's a lil extra here. Believe me...lol.
Fans in Chicago and NY are passionate about their sports. I imagine they fret over every move thier teams make.

This is the first time in years that we haven't had someone claimed off of waivers... why are we pretending that it's crazy to think a young player with a ton of potential could get picked up by another team? We've all seen guys with less talent than Valdez get claimed.

There are 31 other teams in the same position as us - all of them are cutting players they'd like to keep and/or believe can develop. Out of 1200+ cuts, most went unclaimed.
just depends on the needs of other teams and depth. We kept 10+ on each trench for a reason. Niners played it really well, assuming our guys perform.

Chazz Surrat was signed by the Seahawks to their 53, so it's not entirely accurate that no one wanted anyone from our roster.

It's a double edged sword. You want to be good enough that the guys you release will be wanted by other teams...but you don't actually want to lose those players because you want them back onto the PS so you can develop them.
Someone had a great thought that I really think the NFL should do - make K, P and LS roster exempt. Every NFL team has them and there is no competitive advantage if every team can have one of each on the roster without counting towards the 53.

That is a great idea! Very practical and competitively neutral

So in other words we all drank the cool-aid thinking we were so deep with our roster and teams would snap up our cuts, but in reality we are just 'meh' until we prove it and win some games.
As fans we want to hope to find some magic or hidden gems that bring us to the promised 6th ring, but for me at least everytime I see Mckivtiz trucked, Moody shank a PAT or a kick off, I know it's just a hopeful dream.
It's not, I think, it's literally what he posted and provided proof. You just have people that just want to constantly b***h.
