Tell me how a training staff will prevent a broken ankle (warner) and an ACL (bosa).

We have so many shift tissue injuries though.

Fire the entire training staff and invest in the biggest most high tech medical recovery center money can buy. That's my suggestion.

I mean, they have to fire the entire staff again, just for the perception.

It's like that scene in Master & Commander. Doesn't matter if it's just folklore and superstition that the one timid officer has a curse on him and has brought the stilled winds. Everyone believes it, so that makes it true. So he kills himself, and the winds come back. Of course, they were likely to come back anyway.

But humans love correlation.

So fire every single trainer, doctor, health specialist, person who looks at a player sideways. It'll make the fans feel better at least.

It's a bad training staff and we have a lot of old guys. We need a younger rebuild. We are there now. Plus we do stupid things like put Puni in on a preseason kick to get him injured. For the first half of the season. Instead of being full strength. This team does stupid things. It is self imposed to some extent.

It's not just the games lost (though it's primarily that). It's all the planning with a certain group of players in the offseason that gets disrupted/set aside when they can't stay on the field. So much, particularly on offense, depends on guys practicing together.

Puni is on the fg team that's why he was there

I don't think he needs to be in for a preseason kick. Got to do a better job protecting players.

He does when you you're doing live reps. Especially at the time with a kicker who needed it.

It's stars like this that make one wonder even if they could make or do make a proposed trade would that player want to come here with what seems to be a jinx injury issue?

The answer? Up to 1 in 25.6 BILLION.

"This isn't just "bad luck" — it's a catastrophic cluster of injuries across every position group. Even if we loosen the assumptions, it's still 1 in 100 million+... You're witnessing a statistical miracle — in the worst way possible."

Who have been some of the healthiest teams in the last 5 years? Make an offer and poach their health/conditioning staff.

either that or start growing Senzu beans
I remember reading comments about the Den / SF joint practices in spring training.

Payton had his guys doing all sorts of stretches and all sorts of calisthenics before the workouts began and the Niners came out and were stretching as they walked in, did a bit of stretching and then jumped right into it.

I think Shanahan is obsessed with his playbook and the guys knowing it perfectly that he would rather the guys practice than stretch. The timed practices don't help either and it seems like a league wide issue for injuries. Also, take out the hitting and contact in practice and guys not going 100% then fire that up to 100% on game day it's no wonder guys get hurt more now.

I think the league needs to implement a standard 15 min stretch before the practice even starts.
