I love the proven vet coming in on the D line and familiar with saleh. We really need this on such a young d line.

that's what it's all about. he likes his all gas no brake, depth and line rotation. huff never has played a ton, usually around 30-40% of snaps, and he can go all out and hunt the QB when in there. probably hard to bank on a 20 y/o rook to just own it from day 1. you want options / depth. i still see a need at IDL unless we want to bank on two rooks there.

Eagles tried to get him to play OLB, rushing the passer standing up when he had prior success under Saleh as a pure DE.

Yup situational speed rusher with twitch. I was hoping they'd get one in the draft, they got Huff instead. This is great for Bosa and Williams.
I agree we need a legit pass rushing IDL as well. I feel like west and Collins currently offer the same type of skill set. IMO they should have kept Collins.

Yeah gonna hope it's simply a scheme thing and we'll get the Jets version from 2023 with Saleh. Just so rare to see a healthy scratch from a FA the caliber that he was so that definitely soured my opinion of him. Hope to sound stupid for doubting the move.

Under Saleh in 2022 and 2023 he had the 10th and 11th overall pass rush grade among all edge defenders.
