Here comes the sun.
This has got to be a decent upgrade over at backup LT
Too soon to call it. The only thing we know is the 49ers have 2 okay or better NFL OTs ... and a bunch of question marks.

We do?

TW is an aging 37 year old with a recent injury history whos motivation and perfirmance has diminished.

McKivitz had an average year at best in 2024 and has been below average previous. Maybe a contract changes that.

To project an average year at the OT position if both stay healthy is optimistic.

I didn't say "average year at the OT position" ... I was saying that Trent and McKivitz were "okay or better", so at least average players. If they are not playing or playing below their normal game because of injury then obviously that will hurt.

DJ Humphries looking really good right about now.
Dammit!!! Who's out there at tackle? And I know we're in cheap mode now so I doubt we would trade a late draft (Day 3) pick for a decent tackle
wtf

TW is still one of the better OTs in the league. He was motivated enough to show up to training camp where as in the years past he has missed. Even an aging TW is better than half the left tackles in the league.

McKivitz played ok last year.

I don't think its far fetched to say we have 2 ok or better OTs. LOL

Man this team has a lot of injuries. What's wrong with his ankle that he's out for the season?

Does this mean that BARF_ord is not solidified as the backup swing Tackle? We know how that will go. We've already seen it in the preseason.
