How Do You Feel Going Into 2025?

I don't want to pile on but these injuries are killing us. The rookies need training camp and we've lost time with Williams and Stout who we need to get that time on D. Now with Watson hurt our reciver room is thin.

As mentioned before we need a swing tackle immediately.

Don't forget about 5th round pick Jordan James and our 2nd round pick missing the start of camp

Yep we need our conditioning coach back who went to the Indiana pacers.... We had very limited injuries until she left. Jed should have matched the offer.

The way Kyle and John are handling this WR situation (Jennings included) it's like they sorta want to go into the season just hoping to have a winning record and if not then they will be fine with it.

I think they just don't want to pay a lot of money to solve what they see as a short term problem.
I'm perfectly fine. This roster is improved from a year ago but is still lacking depth.

Injuries were always going to heavily impact how the season went.

As such, while I do have high hopes, I do not have high expectations, because a few injuries to the wrong players and that's a wrap.

The silver lining if we do have a bad season, and there is a silver lining, is that we will be in a good position to grab a Tackle and more in the 2026 draft.

It's also a problem in that the best available veteran WRs on the market are waiting until the end of camp to sign and want assurances of starting positions.

Chances are some of them have agreements in place they are just waiting to sign and are not actually available on the market.

That said the injuries ... my goodness the injuries.
I'm just hoping we continue to see Purdy perform at a high level and stays injury free. If our QB situation is completely solved, then everything else is a lot easier.

Right? We lost Greenlaw, Hufanga, Mason, Deebo, Banks, Feliciano, Ward, even Wishnowski but hey we signed a blocking TE Luke Farrell

If we're going purely off their 2024 performance and availability, how many of those guys are a big loss?
Hopeless. Even if they make the playoffs it will be because of an extremely weak schedule.

i hope im wrong and they're hoisting a Lombardi in February, but unlikely

First and foremost they have a "real" defensive coordinator instead of one playing one on TV.

Second, the team got younger on defense and cut a lot of over-paid underperforming bloated weight on the D and O side of the ball.

Inexperienced cheaper, younger and hungrier cancels out over-paid, underperforming vets just collecting their checks in my book.

Everyone hated to see Dre go but he's already injured and it's preseason. Plus, as a fan, if a guy doesn't want to be here then I don't want him here.

Fans may as well get any notion of a SB win this year out of their head now, we can't even go a week without 1-2 player's getting injured and it will be worse when real contact starts, and yes we don't have the depth to sustain.

It will actually be a stress free season for me because I know they don't have the pieces to win a SB this year and every win is a bonus; however, they took necessary steps this year that puts them in great position to be a serious threat again for the near future.

The difference between the hardest schedule in the NFC West and the easiest schedule in the NFC West is still just 3 games, the other 14 games are identical.

Yes-ish.

The run defense was god awful last year and they added 5 rookies who were good at run defense and Devonte Campbell is gone.

CMC and Aiyuk should be back and healthier by the end of the year and Pearsall is no longer a rookie and hasn't been shot.

On the downside there was clearly some talent lost and the team is now a lot younger and they need to have great coaching to even compete.

lol "purely" kind of messed up to say that when some of those players had a direct impact that helped lead us to multiple championships and a SB. Not saying we should have kept all of them but we've down graded at all those positions am I wrong?
