Pretty much, after 3 straight superbowl losses, we kinda use to disappointment , just hoping for an entertaining season, but I don't expect to get far in the playoffs
Optimistic but not as optimistic as I was a couple weeks ago The oline depth is beyond concerning. LB depth is a bit thin. D line could use a healthy K Davis and Collins needs to catch up fast. The secondary doesn't seem to be as bad as I once thought, they had at least 3 (DB) starters unavailable vs Broncos.

Here are the defensive names that made the box score... most get cut or PS. First preseason game looked bad, but surprisingly the score wasn't worse. It should've ended much worse than 30-9

Derrick Canteen (who)
Chase Lucas (maybe 53)
Marques Sigle (53)
Tatum Bethune (53)
Darrell Luter Jr. (maybe 53)
Nick Martin (PS)
Stone Blanton (PS)
Jaylen Mahoney (maybe 53)
Sebastian Valdez (maybe 53)
Kalia Davis (if healthy for sure 53)
Tre Brown (?)
Jalen Graham (?)
Luke Gifford (53)
Bradlee Anae (who)
Michael Dwumfour (?)
Jonathan Garvin (who)
Jakob Robinson (maybe 53)
Dallis Flowers (maybe 53)
Jason Pinnock (53)
Robert Beal Jr. (?)
Jaylon Allen (who)
Bruce Hector (who)

There's a lot of uncertainty here wtf

Linebacker and Oline are the worst but were gonna stay healthy

Rams have 1 good player in their entire back 7.

This. Giving the other teams way too much credit. My only real concern if we have good health is OL. We should be good enough to compete for the 6th or 7th seed. I see us losing games we shouldn't, but potentially winning games we shouldn't as well. With so many young guys we are counting on, I expect mistakes. If we can win 4 or 5 of the first 9, 10-7 is realistic.

Ironically, losing early in the playoffs is also something we haven't done in 20+ years (it's always either an NFC Championship/Super Bowl loss or no playoffs at all) but it's the most likely outcome of this season right now.
It seems like the same questions every year. Can we stay healthy? Will the O line look better? Can we stop the run? Can Brock (or whoever the QB is at the time) take the team to a SB win?

Nick Martin is a lock for the 53. Not cutting that high of a pick.
Stay healthy or we're screwed. Big time.
We lose a big name early in the season? Call Manning and tell him to declare. LOL
After watching Buford at LT anyone else wonder if the best option to replace Trent if he misses games this year is Puni? 2nd best olineman who was a tackle in college? Id feel a lot better with him there and whoever at rg

I didn't know he played tackle un college, idk about that idea I wouldn't want to mess with his development

I've been talking for a while that the next solution at LT may be Puni just because they are only going to pay one OL big money and that player is going to be an LT. So if Puni is really good the only way he stays is at LT.

That said, I wouldn't move Puni mid-season. Pleasants and Prince are on the current roster too. Hopefully Burford makes a leap between now and his first real snap at LT.
Felt fantastic and confident before training camp started...

that optimism has taken a significant hit between injuries, WR group, o-line, RB depth and secondary beyond De-Mo.

I dont' know how to feel now.

If these injuries keep mounting up I feel like it's going to be a crappy year!!

I don't want to pile on but these injuries are killing us. The rookies need training camp and we've lost time with Williams and Stout who we need to get that time on D. Now with Watson hurt our reciver room is thin.

As mentioned before we need a swing tackle immediately.
