I'm excited. The vibes are good in camp, unlike last year. The pressure doesn't seem to be as high. Brock's contract is done and behind him and he is poised to have a big season. The guys have something to prove after last year.
The draft is already looking like a really good one, again. There is a lot to look forward too. It feels like we are entering a new phase in the Shanahan/Lynch era.

Times have changed.
Back in the day, a player wasn't allowed to ruin the culture or vision.
That's because back in the day you didn't have the salary cap and you could actually hold guys accountable because you didn't have depth issues.
Also pretending that Shanahan doesn't keep guys accountable when he's benched a bunch of highly drafted players before is revisionist history.
LOL
KS hasn't been able to hold anyone accountable, are you reffering to the argument about the color of shorts a player was wearing?

Let's not forget who is going to be LB2? Whole defense has question marks but there is this optimism, maybe its the return Saleh. Its huge to have him back but there's so much inexperience only 3 players that are gelled are Bosa, Warner, and Lenoir

To me basically there is a star at every level and young talent around them. It's what I've been saying all season ... the 49ers are betting HARD on their coaches being able to make these players into a team.
We shouldn't look at this team with game 1 in mind, but looking to the 2nd half of the season. Then Mustapha, Aiyuk, and Robinson are back and the kids who don't step up will have been replaced. Even if half the kids fail the team should be good, if only a quarter fail the team has a chance to win the NFC West.

I feel the same way, lets hope Green will be good to go and Mustapha stays healthy and can solidify the Safety position. Honestly wish they would trade for a veteran Corner or Safety to help the secondary.

As we head into the season let's all give our support to Greg Papa who announced he'll be stepping away from the mic for awhile while he fights cancer.

Defense should gel into a very good unit, but I expect a bumpy start. Of course we need stay healthy and get injured guys back for this to happen over the season, but I think they can be very good. I hope Saleh and Kyle play the young guys a ton. Sounds like they will.
Offensively same as every other year. Stay healthy, but my god the o-line is scary and if any of the starters go down its horrific. Keeping the Tackles healthy will be the most important aspect imo.

Although I do feel late last year gave us an indication of how this season might go... hearing that Matt Stafford might be going through injury s**t again...and Jimmy G is his backup
.... gives me the feeling we can still do well this year.
As well as Sam Darnold being in the division.
Still not sure about Gannon and Murry and the Cards.
Yeah division should be there to be had.

yeah staffy is cooked. i was talking about that toward the end of last season. there's a reason JG played the week 18 game. staffy needed a rest and he's still not right. back issues and disc issues, that is a problem. if you do sports betting go all in on SF to win the div. you are reading the tea leaves correct.

I can see the cards being sneaky good this season Marvin jr is looking good and their rookie Will Johnson is killing it in camp. Walter Nolen hasn't been in training camp cause he stuffed a calf injury preparing for it
Given his history he might be faking it or exaggerating it. Hopefully dude busts cause he looks like he can be a problem

Stafford having back issues again is ALL bad news for the Rams.
