He belongs to the Vernon Davis School of catching. Always hops and tries to use the body to catch with more than he should.

VD had his issues, but if Neyor can catch as well as VD, I'm sure he'll make the team.

This one's better
I really hope Neyor can impress ... I don't expect it, but I hope for it.
He's way too raw imo. Even with the depleted WR corps, he needs time to learn. Also needs more effort imo. When you're an UDFA fighting for a job spot you need to lay out for any ball in practice, because that could be the difference between a roster spot and a cut. Physical talent is obviously there though.

Even if in absolute worst case scenario with Aiyuk, Jennings, Robinson and Pearsall all not playing to start the season, Id put Cowing and Watkins over him. Knowing Kyle and how he likes vet WRs, in this worst case scenario I could imagine Gage or Hodgins making it over Neyor on depth chart.

I do expect Jennings to re-sign some form of extension, Pearsall at least to be on the active roster.... and Robinson case seems like 50/50.

Id guess PS for Neyor as most likely outcome.

This would be ideal
What he really needs is to learn to catch solely with his hands. But that is a hard to learn after so many years of catching with the body. But, T.O. was a bad pass catcher as well especially early in his career. He would drop a lot of easy passes, but when he did catch the ball he was dangerous. This dude may be the same

Yeah, when I say I want him to impress, what I mean is I want him to play well enough to be worth developing.

ALL we gots to do is feed him the ball.. lots of them! lots of them.. especially in the pre-season.. allow his confidence to grow .... like the great Bill once said, " put him in situation where he wont fail " ..

GO NINERS !!!

He's one of those guys that you sign and hope the light comes on. Maybe he's a late developer. It doesn't happen often but they aren't really risking anything.
