Brendal's replacement hopefully

Train him to be center all through camp plus preseason games, there's a good chance he'd be better than the 2024 Brendel

Apparently JB is training hard to be a much improved Jake, we'll see. Colby gave up 3 sacks and several pressures in 13 games... JB easily done that in just 3 games

He only has 1 sack given up last season according to PFF.

Wow this could be another steal in this draft

I like this pick for where we got him. He's a 4 year starter that has mainly started at guard but has experience starting at tackle. Iowa runs a zone heavy pro based scheme. While Kyle has adjusted his rushing attack schematically over the years Colby is a strong zone run blocker. His pass protection still needs a lot of work though. I think he slots in well as an experienced draft pick and developmental prospect at the NFL level.

Ahhhh so that's where he went; to play some college ball
this kid should be ready to take over in year 3
A number of analysts said they were surprised Colby wasn't taken earlier...dude's a genuine baller, exactly what the OL needs. So, now, Brendel will have Colby on one side, Puni on the other. Would love to see Drake Nugent earn the job, even Hennessey. At least with two bad-ass OG's next to him, Brendel would be better protected. Like the UDFA OL Drew Moss, too. The OL's not nearly as devoid of talent as some seem to think. Bartch will be in the mix along with others.

I'm almost convinced even more now (a steal) after reading this

I'd put money on Bartch or Burford starting; not Colby. Remember; what happened with Puni was by accident; he would've never been starting had Burford and Feliciano been healthy to begin the season.

By "a number of analyst," who are you talking about? I haven't seen anyone saying that Colby is a baller and surprised he wasn't taken earlier?

No he won't unless there's injury
