Tackles taken out of the top ten picks generally suck

This is most likely what they thought.
Valgame...
Iowa runs the same scheme. He's a guard for us going forward
Purdy gonna have two guys to make his Iowa St vs. Iowa bets with now.

Purdy gonna be scrambling for his life. as of right now our offensive line is worse than last season. There's no way anybody can say different. You lose banks you promote Ben Barch are we kidding ourselves batted balls are gonna happen again this season all the time because our offensive line, especially the left guard and center position are gonna allow that to happen and then we have a right tackle that would have at least 10 sacks allowed If Brock wasn't a scrambler I would pray that eventually at some point he'd be allowed to be a pocket quarterback

Train him to be center all through camp plus preseason games, there's a good chance he'd be better than the 2024 Brendel

Apparently JB is training hard to be a much improved Jake, we'll see. Colby gave up 3 sacks and several pressures in 13 games... JB easily done that in just 3 games

it's hilarious. You guys are excited about undrafted free agents and seventh round picks for the offensive line. That's all we ever get. We got lucky in the third round last year but we totally forgot about it this draft there's two players that could've easily started on our line that we had fallen into our laps in the third round and the second. Even the fourth round, we had somebody that could've competed one of the biggest needs if not, the second biggest need was offensive line. The funny thing is that it was only defensive line because of the definition of insanity. We play such a high priority on defensive line drafting them early Signing players. But yet we still had nobody this season that's bad roster management

Your comment / frustration is not unmerited. The Oline at the moment is one injury away from being slightly above average to mediocre... two injuries away from being hot, organic garbage
Leave it to the 49ers to wait until 7th - 33 - 249 overall to finally pick their one and only offensive linemen.

Love the pick. We need more of them and sooner. But at least we got one. The size is good. 6'6" 309 lbs. 5.11 40 yard dash is pretty good. Only his arms are short at 32 inches. But everything else size wise is great. He has Tackle and Guard experience. Including left side and right side. So versatility which is great for this team. We need LG. Maybe RT. He can fill those spots at least as a backup while he learns.

Who's excited? I'm as excited as a melted chocolate Kiss about our current state at oline

I wanted the draft to go like this (OT, Edge or DT, then LB), I'm okay with the picks, but not getting OT early and center/guard in the middle rds has me wondering... I'm hoping there's a plan to bring in somebody capable of taking someone's job. Otherwise, we'll have to pray that JB and/or Hennessy improves by a big margin and one of the back up tackles can be as good or better than last year's Moore. A lot of big ifs

I think we have a different view of the offensive line. I only think we have two Legit starters if Trent decides he's not gonna play this season or he gets injured which he's very old we are done. We don't have a back up tackle that's worth anything. And Colton And JAKE have never been the answer. I would actually say JAKE is the Worst Center, Kyle has had since he's been here. Jared Wilson could've been drafted. Instant upgrade, especially with Kyle since Kyle does better when he has a good center.. I'm glad our defense got better but I still don't think we have a team that's gonna make it to the NFC championship not with this line and can anybody actually sit here and say that the first three pics were the best player available even if their position? I can't

Colby was actually on my list for the 5th. So yea he may have went in the 7th I think he was rated higher than that.
