It was Robinson and Watkins. Cowing by all accounts had the most impressive minicamp...then f'd up his hammy first day of training camp so we didn't get any reports on him.
Would love to see him out there instead of Bourne honestly but Kyle and rookie WRs don't mix unless we have nobody else

I feel like when we trot out Bourne and Jennings at the same time we lack speed at the WR position. Like just have one of them out there, not both and give the speedier guys a chance lol..

I agree, just need Kyle to get on board. I feel like after the drops Bourne had in the Jags game Brock isn't exactly looking for him much either. I'd think he'd more likely to go to Watkins.

Unfortunately, the reality is that not every player drafted becomes an established, productive NFL player. Watkins still has potential, but we also need to consider that he's just not better than the guys suited up currently.

Sure would be nice if we could use his speed on the field with Ricky Pearsall to open things up even more

Or we just consider that shanahan is keeping him off the field due to well known veteran bias. Which seems to apply to all rookies except stout for some reason.

also not every WR needs to be the perfect all around WR. When we first got him, I just wanted Kyle to finally have someone he trusts AND STICKS WITH...that can keep playoff defenses from just playing the short to intermediate part of the field... man to man.

If he has no other choice, they don't have to be. To a degree, I get the method to his madness and it makes the Aiyuk situation sadder because that was a guy that did almost everything. Can get intermediate and deep passes, great route runner, and great blocker. Now they have to develop another 1 or 2. We will get there again but its sad that WR now may be an option in the first three rounds.
