CJ is a big man. Dude is gonna be an anchor on the inside he will free up Warner and either Winters or Martin to have a good year.

me: does CJ kind of remind you of Grady Jarrett?
my homie: dude, every squatty, powerful, explosive IDL reminds you of Grady Jarrett.
me: true, but that's because the first one got away and I'm looking for the next one.

Rookie DT CJ West dominated one-on-ones, beating every offensive lineman he faced, including RG Dominick Puni. He is proving to be a handful for blockers.

Video? This is great news rewatching him he doesn't get pushed back keeps his eyes on the ball, not who he's engaged with and can shed. However I couldn't help but notice time and time again his acceleration and speed are really poor he gets there but players easily avoid him if there's space to run

Got a good feeling about West!!! I bet Mykal Williams and CJ West will be the best picks of the 49ers draft class this year.

The idea of all these guys hitting, along with Alfred Collins
. With Dee Winters coming on, this defense will get nasty again in a hurry.

Let's pump the breaks, I'm excited too but the entire dline outside of Bosa is an unkown/"okay" Winters hasn't proved anything yet not sure where this he's going to blow up this season is coming from? Mustapha had a solid rookie campaign the rest of the safety's don't look that great, and god forbid if either Green/Lenoir go down. I like what we're building on defense but I'm not expecting them to be a top unit at all this season

The young man kind of reminds me of Micheal Carter who was a beast at DT in the 80's until he broke a bone in his foot.

He's only 6'1" but he weighs close to 320. Good low center of gravity. Perfect for getting a push up the middle.

Couldn't be more excited about this guy and his "violent hands," he's gonna bring that Attitude to our defense.

He appears to be a tough guy that doesn't ever go backward. Reminds me of the old Niner nose tackle Michael Carter.
