I saw him have some nice hits/tackles on special teams.

we're wasting a season of experience by allowing him to be a cheer leader..
Like I had said before about carving out a specific role

Is there a chance Nick Martin can take over for Luke Gifford? He is terrible in coverage. — Bill H.

In Gifford's defense, he's battling through a couple of injuries (I'm sure he's been looking forward to the bye as much as anyone).

Second, he's usually on the field because opponents are in their heavy personnel package. The Rams, for example, used a lot of three-tight end looks in their most recent matchup. The Browns used a lot of two-tight end sets with Harold Fannin Jr. and David Njoku. Gifford had problems when they passed out of those formations
And third, I think the plan was to use Martin in that role Sunday, but Martin suffered a concussion in the first quarter. The 49ers went with Gifford and their big nickel package (Jason Pinnock) from that point forward
Dude went from playing Go Fish to Gin Rummy in two months after getting drafted.... gonna take some time for the mental part of the position to take, only reason I can think of why he is not playing more on defense... I look forward to his emergence next year.
Any news on his concussion? The extra week off helps, but hoping he's cleared for practice.

Not sure it even matters really. Seems like he's destined to be nothing but a ST's guy at this point. With Hendricks in the mix now, his chances are next to nothing to getting on the field.

we signed another veteran LB, dang... we just like to waste 3rd rounders year in and year out !!

NOT even giving the players the chance to play..

The analogy is a thing of beauty
The game winning int in the Super Bowl is going to be epic for him.
Still having symptoms and is in Protocol. Not sounding great after 2+ weeks to rest and recover.

This dude gets a LOT of talk for doing nothing so far.

What opportunities has he had? A handful, and he has shown promise in those (playing fast, tfl, ff). Not sure how he can make plays if he gets no opportunities

That happens a lot on this forum. We always have a couple players that can't get healthy or play their way into the starting lineup that some fans think will be great.

People just want to see him on the field. There's nothing wrong with that. Afterall, he was a third-round pick.
