Did this guy actually play today aside from Special Teams?

One of the advantages of being deciminated buy injuries should be to give your young players a chance. But we barely see any aside from Collins and Stout.

He was making tackles on special teams and looked speedy and athletic. People are way too hard on him and over analyze him. He's just young. He needs reps and experience. He has the athleticism and speed.

Yeah he's been fantastic on ST; doing exactly what the coaches said he needed to do to earn his way on the field. He needs to get the chance sooner rather than later

Curtis Robinson is absolutely trash. Pinnock as the extra safety sucks as well. Got to be a way to get Martin on the field and use that speed.

you cant use a LB just for blitzing in football. it will be too obvious. the point of a blitz is that you dont know its coming and dont account for it or dont have hot reads. so he has to play in non-blitzing situations too

I think the coaches want to reward our existing guys for their offseason effort. I think Robinson tore his ACL last year and he worked hard to make his way back. Winters had a good offseason too. But both have maybe hit their ceilings.
This past game Dee Winters recorded 1 tackle for the game. Martin made more on his minutes during ST plays.

Makes no sense that this guy can't get on the field considering just how beat up the defense is and how mediocre the starting unit has been. There's literally nothing to lose giving him some plays.
