Bosa inconsistent? lol.

I came here to get some relief from the Mac Jones/Steve Young Comparisons.

There's no safe haven here. 🤣

Will at least be interesting to watch if manufactured blitz pressure is more reliable than Bosa.

Bosa is great and all, but he is hardly reliable....he might show up, he might not....it might be on Bosa...it might be 57 consecutive non-holding calls in a row...you. never know what your gonna get.

This is an insane take. We've seen the impact from Bosa and he's about as reliable as you can ask for in an edge player. I hope we get as good of news as possible tomorrow in regards to him.

Mykel has been terrific but none of these offenses we've played so far have been pass heavy offenses. We'll see about the Jags but if Nick has to miss the Rams game in 1.5 weeks Stafford could shred us apart.

I was more or less making a holding call joke than a statement....

but the statement I made, I will stand by. I wonder if we can generate clean pressure from blitzing and if it will be more reliable than Bosa.

Why?

Because we watch Bosa get held down in and down out during 100s of pass rushes with zero offensive holding calls made.

This is not a referendum made on Bosa. Bosa is not the problem, and has never been the problem.

Ok...but blitzing with Bosa out there getting all that attention > blitzing without Bosa.

2 Years in a row too.
He better like that DE position. With Bosa out I expect him to move there a lot more and to attempt to be more of the pass rush. Which isn't most natural to him. He's more of a set the edge in your run game beast. Plus an interior pass rush push who would collapse the pocket. While Bosa can rush from the outside.

As much as I'm BUMMED about losing Bosa for the season, and I am, the play of Williams continues to surprise me a great deal. I did not think he would be this good, this fast, but he is. Here's a really good rundown of what he did yesterday against the Cardinals. He just wrecked that offensive line on several plays.

We got ourselves a stud.
We have a ton of guys we can put into rotation and replace Bosa by committee. No need for doom and gloom because there are more teams without a Bosa than there are with one and I don't see any of those teams cancelling their seasons. We just won two games with our backup QB. I think we can win a good deal of games without Bosa because we still got Fred and Saleh
BOSA DONE !! Move on !! Lets GO 98 !!!

This is why we PAY YOU FOR !!!
With the loss of Bosa, we're going to need to accelerate his development if we want any chance of staying still mathematically alive for the 7th seed by the last month of the season.
