I'm stuck seeing one play QB for the 9ers on Sunday.

Lol . If he had the track record to back it up I wouldn't give him s**t

FWIW

the DL I liked that we drafted at the time of the picks

Armstead
Buckner
Bosa
C.J. WEST

The DL I didn't want that we drafted at the time of the pick.

Thomas
Kinlaw
Drake
Williams: I admitted then and believe now he can help in run defense. Not saying he's going to be a bust but didn't like the pick. Due to lack of pass rush.

Ironically enough I was Luke warm on Collins.

How's that for a track record Boss?

Your track record of player evaluation is horrendous . We've seen it for years.
Interesting…

But I thought he was trash? lol that's what others are saying. He's so bad, the opposing team insisted on doubling and chipping him. Interesting.

if Williams is holding down doubles and chips - that's better for everyone around him. Like I said before, I hope he's our next Justin smith. Which is really a much better comp for him.

I think people are projecting him towards what he really isn't. He will become a better pass rusher in time but his job this year is to stop the run, compress the pocket, and eat up o lineman from touching other defenders.

I'm surprised that fans still don't realize this.

If he can set the edge on base defense he will be doing his ain job fot this season and if he can hold his ground against double blocks it will be even better.

Just hold your ground kid and the rest of the D-line is gonna be fine.

Trying to do anything else with Williams at this point would be negligent coaching. Lol he's clearly ready to take that on in the nfl and raw on the pass rushing - maximizing his current ability and getting him valuable reps.

I think Williams did a really good job for it being his first game. He wasn't great or perfect but was a positive player out there and made others better - which is why I keep saying I expect him to be a Justin smith type guy.

imagine if bosa has a Justin smith caliber guy adjacent to him? Would be gorgeous

What I was seeing was we almost used him as a decoy, he'd intentionally shed into the next olinemen almost like a defensive chip block while we had others blitz and run looped stunts in that direction. As well as Seattle purposely double teaming him on run plays which he did get owned a couple times

Using the same account he would have been number 2 among DTs lol

Also I don't think anyone was proclaiming him to Bosa from day 1. Anyone who's being objective could see the pass rush upside. There was a plan and flashes at Georgia.

if he was a day 1 edge monster he's not going 11th overall. If he turns into a guy like Zack Allen who gets used similarly in DEN that's a home run pick coming out of that draft.
