Nice clip. You dont see alot of him wide at Georgia. And he does so well to pass rush with the team concept in mind, impoloding the pocket and not getting outside the QB.

This 4-3 over wide 9 package stuff is what has Salah salivating. You can imagine Warner feigning that blitz to freeze the guard and that RB is going to be looking to chip the opposite side. There will be some green lights.

Mykel is much stronger, bigger and longer than Key was as well. Arden was more of a speed rusher at LSU.

Floyd walked into 8.5 sacks this past season. No one was calling him a plus edge rusher this past season. Sacks are overrated, but fun to talk about.

I'm not saying Williams is a gonna be a day 1 sack master, he will plus addition to this DL and has the ability to be a damn good pass rusher as long as he's coachable and stays healthy.

Yeah, a lot of fans act like sacks are the only way to disrupt a play or stop a play. Lol Floyd had 8.5 and dude wasn't all that disruptive.

having a player like Williams, who can line up next to Bosa or across from Bosa, and cause havoc on a play is a huge plus. Then plug in two DL between them to clog the middle and free up backers and stop run - now we are talking, especially with some of
the guys length.

sacks are sexy and we love to see them but there is sooo much more to playing defense than just getting sacks.

One of the best defensive minds in NFL history thought sacks were extremely overrated. Sure they're great and you want your team being able to get them but pressures and even ability to collapse the pocket and move the OL back in key moments can result in a better result for your team.

Close down the QBs throwing lanes or get him to throw off balance passes and your odds of turnovers go up. We got some speed in the secondary now. Let the big boys up front crush the pocket and see if we can get a bunch more turnovers coming our way.

I concur. You're not going to get sacks every play and you have to be able to defend multiple sets - being able to be disruptive up front (in whichever way needed) opens it up for everyone and increases odds of turnovers (as you mentioned).

you're not going to get a sack every play, actually very few plays overall in the entire game, so you need to be as disruptive as possible in the run game and pass game.

Big boy for only being 20

I believe this guy was on our radar as well during the draft process...
Needs a go-to move and a changeup. So far his go-to move is a bull rush, and that's not going to work very often by itself in the NFL. On the bright side Bosa and the coaches should be able to train him up. That said, I don't expect all that many sacks as a rook.
