We don't have time for this, these guys have to play right away.

Nick Martin very well may turn out to be a bust of a pick.
But it won't be because the Google AI, the Mel Kiper big board and the ESPN/NFL.com player rankings tell you it is.

Kaleb Johnson would be the best value pick.

Sure but since the team doesn't expose its draft board and ratings logic to fans (I'm not saying they should), third party sources and our own judgement are all we have. So we do and that's what forms our reaction. Makes perfect sense to me.

Too many people on here relying on "experts" who watch highlight tape to "project" where a guy should be drafted to tell us if a guy is a reach or not, and have no trust for the scouts on the team who drafted Fred Warner in the 3rd that became a starter and All Pro, and Dre Greenlaw in the 5th who became a starter and an All Pro. Stop crying about where and when a player was drafted and start looking at the player and if he fits right into the scheme that Saleh runs.

I guess they don't mind having their #3 corner picked on all game.
