I know they said they tried t trade up in the first but that's about it. They were one of the few teams that stayed put. All the other teams are moving up and down like an elevator.

I know the media was like they need to nail this draft to collect all these future starters, facts are this draft overall was not amazing. Good DL draft and they went there multiple times. Guys like Barch and Hennessy would have been high picks than a lot of these dudes at their positions.

This class was considered to be pretty poor. Niners probably thought not much was better than what we have. Not sure if I agree or disagree but odds are they will be right. If burford was in this draft he would probably be a 2nd or 3rd round pick (he is only 24 still). Nugent would most likely get drafted compared to last year (24 also). Even Jalen mckenzie (25) has measurables we would probably be begging to draft without much time watching them play.

with that said, I still hope they take several lottery ticket chances on OL in the 7th and UFA

Yeah man it's a bad class overall. I get it fans just want a new body in there for whatever reason…regardless of actual talent.

I mean you can say whatever about Ben Barch but he was a 4th rd pick a couple yrs ago. Matt hennessey was a 3rd rd pick just a couple yrs ago

I liked that they let them draft falling to them this year. As it stands, I think they have 6 guys that are starters/immediate contributors. They have 2 more that have a chance. They didn't need any more picks than they have and there was no need to move up. Not in this draft.

Not upset, it's laughable how little they value OL.

I wouldn't say they, as much as our OL coach. Prior to him showing up they got McG spent cash on Richburg, traded for Trent, trading for Laken, brought in Alex Mack etc.

Forrester thinks he can coach up and develop guys. Overall given the talent he gets, he's done that.

I agree they need bodies at the very least and it's a bit confusing. We will see who they can snag at the end here

I agree Foerster has done that. I think it's underrated but at the same time,we can do better and have passed on better, obvious options a few times (2021 - 2023). I'm curious about where Drake Nugent and Nick Zakelj are in their development. Realistically coming out of this draft with a guard and center prospect isn't asking for much. They still have 3 picks to get it done.

Rams trading next year picks, exactly what we should be doing with all our comp picks coming again

Why? This is multi year rebuild.

Correct.

we are a year behind the Rams in rebuild.

The Rams have an aging QB. As good as they looked last season, I don't see them as a threat.

Their D mopped Darnolds face over and over in the playoffs. As long as they have that D they can be competitive. Their shredding our Oline in its current state.
And I think the Cards had a good draft so far so I dunno if got better at least on paper this week.
Any interesting TE prospects left?

We have a ton of picks next year too. Which is exciting

If these DL picks do what they're suppose to do…it's a good draft.

Yep. If Tre or Stout can be average in the nickel and Mykel, Collins, and West play a ton of snaps and look good and improve the run defense, it's a good draft
Overall I liked the focus of this draft. They gave up 24 or more points ten times last year. They will slash that stat with the heavy focus on defense, Saleh's return and the weaker schedule next year. Fixing defense and special teams should translate to 10-11 wins in 2025.
There goes Cabeldue to Seattle. Dang it.

I'm down to take Desmond Watson in the 7th
Yeah the OL class is so weak yet teams with far better OL's than ours are still drafting them…
Did the Mbow kid go yet?

I think we did well with power inside. Wouldn't mind speed rush like Kaimon Rucker or Powell Ryland. Peebles inside. I like Brinson for size.

Seems like OT or TE might make sense for need but if you are looking for a guy to get snaps, it's probably still on the D line.
