49ers sign QB Mac Jones

Again I haven't had the pleasure of watching all these performances. First time in my life (43) I've missed these many games. But late last night for some reason the internet out here was fast enough to where I was able to see the youtube NFL highlight of the game. It was just highlights but ball was shooting out of the pocket. Mac looks like he has a weird stance in the pocket, but ball gets out of there quick. Again this were just highlights. Yes there was that one sack where he didn't even bother to run out of the pocket and just accepted his fate. Which is fine, if he protects the ball.

Come Wednesday I'll be all caught up, and will be complaining about Kyle all over again and everything will be right in the world.

You're not allowed to watch until Mac loses. Thems the rules.

I made a connnection today. In some wasy Mac and Steve Young have some similarities I think. Both played with their heart on their sleeves and both were gritty. Now I am not saying that Mac is a Steve Young but I do see some comparisons. Anyone else?

Yes, I forgot where I posted it but yeah, Mac in the Rams game reminded me of Steve. His relentlessness and heart, beat the f**k up out there, barely able to walk, throws up and just kept going. Nothing was going to stop him and that is how Steve was. There was a time when Mac was on the field and it brought me right back to the 90s, I love that. Anytime a qb reminds me of Young, I love him lol. I am defo loving Mac!

I do worry about his lack of mobility. He is getting hit a LOT (roughed quite a bit too - refs need some kind of accountability system).

Get em Mac, no turnovers and you should do fine. That's what has hurt this team turnovers.

Yep, Bill Walsh playbook, Steve did this one also. But that play with Purdy/game with the Seahawks, that is when I knew he was the real deal. I immediately bought tickets for the upcoming Raiders game . We won in overtime
