Still comparing* Josh Allen… one of the most talented QBs to ever play the game… to Trey Lance in the year 2025.

Completely different planets in terms of talent, let alone actual QB skill.

Nah.

According to many guys here all that matters is if they like the QB on a personal level.

I feel like you're just TRYING to start s**t. All I've seen on here is people talking good about Mac Jones. And if anything you're dwelling on one or two comments made. f**kin grow up and learn to chill.

Coming from you???

And whatta ya know this coming from you the guy who cries when people knock Krapernick.

Yeah ok.

Yes. The 6'5 ultra mobile giant with a rocket arm is one of the most physically gifted QBs we've ever seen. Like a modern day John Elway.

There's a long list of big QBs that had "rocket arms" and were mobile. Josh Allen is undoubtedly a great QB (depending on your requirements) but to act like he's a once in a lifetime (I know you didn't say that) "talent" is foolish and is a disservice to the generations of QBs that literally change the game with their talent and won Championships.

I was a big time Josh Allen hater. I actually thought he was a worse prospect than Trey. I even thought he was overrated (good but overrated)as late as two years ago. Now watching what he's done these past couple seasons dude is generational. He's not doing it with a great supporting cast. He's not doing it in some great system with a so called guru. This dude legit is their system.

Then if you throw in he is the only QB from my perspective that went from athlete to learning how to play QB while in the NFL.

This is all subjective but to me he is generational.

Just curious but who are these QBs that "changed the game with their talent and won championships"? Mahomes comes to mind but Josh runs twice as much then him.

Lol, some of you guys clearly haven't watched football as long as some others here have. Football didn't just start 5-10 years ago.

Let's see these QBs go against Deacon Jones, Lawerence Taylor, Dexter Manley, among others that would literally try and kill the QB on every play, and never missed a game with a "high ankle sprain"…..You couldn't hide behind the refs back in those days. Half the QBs today wouldn't make it 3-4 games in those eras.

"to ever play the game" is not a good measuring stick when talking about guys that don't have their teeth knocked out in the first quarter and go out and win a game in the 4th after being beaten to hell all game.

Your "kill the QB" argument would probably be spot on if we were talking about the QB in the thread title and not Josh Allen

I've been watching football for decades, lol. There simply isn't a 'long list' of QBs who have the combination of size, strength, mobility, and arm talent as Josh Allen. Less than a handful.

Your point about the game's toughness from years past is barely relevant. All sports evolve, and Josh Allen would dominate in any era.

Mac is a good dude and tough competitor. Limping around with a knee brace and torn jersey, still slinging it and helping us win. Post game interview giving everyone else credit. Easy kid to root for.
Josh Allen does what he does with not much talent around him from a player perspective and coaching perspective. Had he been in this team in 2023 it would have been the best offense the NFL has ever seen. Josh Allen is a generational QB.

Guess 'long list' is less than an over statement as "to ever play the game" then 👍🏼

This. The kid completely changed my opinion of him. I was not a fan. I ranted against him plenty. I have nothing but respect and admiration for him after seeing him play in a 49er uniform. We are lucky to have him.

I agree have always liked him. He reminds me of Steve Young. Great attitude ran a lot when he was first in the NFL and is developing into a great passer just like HOF Steve did. Not there yet but i believe he will get there.
