Wouldn't mind getting Minkah Fitzpatrick in a trade with the Phins. People wanting Waddle in a trade are dreaming.

I'd give Mac and a 2nd for Waddle, I think Waddle is top 10 if he gets the targets.

No thanks (from front page from a MIN writer)

Here's what Harbaugh's offer from the Vikings looked like:

Miami Dolphins could make a decision about Tua Tagovailoa's future sooner than later.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported on the Saturday morning SportsCenter that Miami's new regime, led by general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and head coach Jeff Hafley, is "nearing a decision" about Tagovailoa with an option bonus in his contract coming due:

"Miami is nearing a decision on what to do with his future and his $54 million guaranteed. So, the chances of somebody taking that on are very slim. I think that Miami would hope that they could swing a deal, or somebody would cover a little bit of that money, offset it a little bit and sort of hope for the best. But him returning and them restructuring his deal is still on the table, but it seems unlikely at this point. New regime, Malik Willis could be an option for them, he's a free agent, he has ties to the Green Bay regime, Jeff Hafley, Jon-Eric Sullivan."

We got em over a barrel. They need a QB they can afford this year with upwards of 67 million dead cap tied to Tua. No ones trading for Tua and they are in a financial bind. Mac and his contract should be well worth the (3) 3rd rounders since they won't be able to sign Malik Willis or any other QBs for what Mac is set to earn this year.

We send Mac to Miami and we trade draft spots with Miami in the first round. Win/win. Miami gets a fantastic inexpensive QB and they still have a first rounder…

Then we use that pick #11 and trade back down.

Mac Jones for Minkah Fitzpatrick straight up. It would help get rid of some salary cap issues.

Sure!
Man, I wish this site would stop posting articles from Grant Cohn. He's a Shanahan hater, and he thinks every move the 49ers make should be run by him. "No" to trading Mac Jones for a 2nd round pick. "No" to signing Alec Pierce when the Niners receiver room is thinner than paper. "No" to anything concerning the 49ers unless Grant Cohn approves of it.

Remember when he wanted the Niners to go after Matt Stafford when it was questionable if he was returning to the Rams? Yeah. Cohn did that. The dude is not only clueless, he's worthless too. Stop platforming his nonsense.

Yeah... would be worried to go after a top 5 QB and one that ended up winning the MVP.

They're not gonna trade Waddle when they just got rid of Tyreek Hill. On top of that they're gonna want more than just Mac Jones and a 2nd.

You never know. It looks like they're cleaing house and shedding salaries. They aren't happy with Tua and they aren't in a win now mode.

No thanks.

Tons of good players in the 3rd round this year.

That's 3 of:

Kaylen Ruttledge G
Jacob Rodriguez LB
Devin Moore CB
Jalon Kilgore S
Louis Moore FS
Malachi Lawrence EDGE
Ted Hurst WR
Antonio Williams WR
Gennings Dunker G
Tristan Leigh OT
Malik Muhammed CB
Connor Lew C

I'll take that deal but MIA not gonna do it.

If we got 4 of the players listed above (including our own 3rd) I'd be elated.
2nd 2026, 3rd 2027 you take the deal. I like him as a backup. You just don't want Shany / Lynch picking it. But we could use the picks because we have lots of holes. More picks in the 2nd and 3rd still helps. Because they would double up on those rounds. Hopefully hitting on some. The value is highest now. Because he played well and was reasonable healthy. Mac Jones can also drop off, get hurt or play worse in some way. So this is his peak value. Deal him now for as many and as high of picks as you can.

I do understand how he's valuable as a backup because Purdy is hurt a lot. But his value is high and we need the picks. This is a rebuild as much as people don't want to admit it. As many possible that you can add in the first 3 rounds is great.
I'd do that trade on front page for Herbig

You are saying no to three third round picks? LMAOOOO. There is no way we get more than three third rounders for Mac Jones. We probably wouldnt even get close to three third rounders, and you wouldnt do it? Cmon man.
